I wasn't aware Sega went anywhere. Didn't they already make a Sonic Adventure back in the late 90s? Or is this just a downloadable version of the same game? Sonic 4 should be excellent. Sonic is much like Castlevania, it works best in 2D. No matter how many 3D Sonic's Sega makes, this fact will likely always remain.
Fat chance on Sega ever making hardware again. Sadly, the Dreamcast was their last huray. I doubt the market could support 4 consoles anyway. It's not THAT big.
SEGA has never left my household. I still play those games and more; my Dreamcast still gets plenty of play time. It is sweet that more people get to experience SA and Crazy Taxi though! I'm just not sure how well these two will be received nowadays, especially SA and it's camera issues.
The three main reasons you put up for Sega "Returning" is basically re-releases/rehashes of old games. As for NIGHTS...well...the game was slightly fun at best, and it appears that Metacritic agrees with me.

SEGA was never great. Nights was a horrible game and their releasing the only "decent" Sonic game on 360/PS3 which really isn't impressive. Along with Sonic 4 that may be good or may be bad (like the others). And Crazy Taxi well, I have never played it.
SEGA is not welcomed back because they haven't really done anything great. Have you seen their record in the past 5 years? Nothing to brag about. Plus Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo aren't really going to be threatened by SEGA even if they do come back.

Crazy Taxi was much better in the arcade, to be honest.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

I still have my Saturn (such an awesome console name btw). I've been itching to get it out and start playing with it again. I figured I'd check into the prices of some of the games I have for it, and now I just think I'll ebay the games. O.O
New NIGHTS looked bad... Best thing SEGA made in a while was OutRun 2, excellent game. I was a big fan in the 90s, but recent releases I've purchased such as the poorly emulated 'Sonic Classics Collection' on the DS, are rather disappointing.

This lazer tag place has it near me, I thought it was fun.
That is TLinkerbell to you! [17:17] theblackdragon: considering i have neither an xbox nor a ps3 :3 [17:17] Corbie: Nintendo fangirl alert!!!! [17:17] James Newton: Uh oh The James Ne...
Yeah, they didn't change the resolution for either of those Dreamcast ports of Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi. Enjoy the black borders. The only good thing SEGA has going for it is that the great Platinum Games develops games for them to publish... and that is solely due to Capcom's idiocy. Gasp all you want but Capcom will forever have the title of "Idiots" for closing Clover.
The Dreamcast is definitely the second best console ever. There is a whole base of people who are still waiting for a remake and/or sequel of the epic Shenmue series!!! Daytona 2001 was the best part of the series, i am waiting for a sequel. Jet Set/Grind Radio was cancelled for Wii
Here is some art of it.
Good old times...
Sega really should make a compilation of Dreamcast classics.
