I would say that Persona 5's menu looks weird- when they are screenshots. Like as screenshots they are ugly as hell, but then when I see them in the video form- damn, ain't those menus fabulous!
That's what I feel anyway, and I really hated the menu's looks when I was seeing the screenshots. The video made all the difference!
Then again I didn't have idea on how being color blind will make it wonky so I can't say much on that part, just that the in-game-look itself fixes what makes me feel it being so "busy"
@YummyHappyPills Is that the PS4 remake of the first game? If so, then I didn't think it was that great. They removed a lot of the planets from the first game, and the remake had much less interesting characters and dialogue.
@YummyHappyPills - As good as it is, I actually don't like what the Ratchet & Clank reboot did with the story. Great gameplay, but...they completely missed the point of Ratchet as a character, as well as Qwark (although it's implied that the entire story is being told by Qwark, so we're seeing the original adventure filtered through his warped ego), and having recently replayed the original...it's definitely a shorter game, which I felt was to its detriment.
@YummyHappyPills What's your problem with Sony and PS Users? Seemed like everyone disagreeing with you about Ratchet and Clank were being polite about it.
Honestly, I loved Persona 5 so hard, but I don't understand the fascination with the UI lol. Like in battle yes everything is stylish and works incredibly well, giving a newfound flow to the battle. However outside of battle I thought it was kinda... cluttered? Like for example the menu, it took iirc four screens just to get to the conversation stats.
I think it's one of those talking points people love to run back and forth over to such a degree that the actual practical truth gets muffled by the treads. There was a lot of detail there, yes. No, it's not commendable in a 100 hour to have to go a different screen to change party members than the one to change their equipment, different screens for your party and player character's personas, and like three different places (the percentages screen, texts, and map) to view which confidant you should spend time with today.
Still the best game on PS4 through at least 2017 though. I did like the confidant submenu though, as it displayed cool noir-styled art of protag and each of the confidants back to back. Made them all look like depressed, espresso-drinking Ernest Hemmingway characters, which was swell! XD
@YummyHappyPills Because the internet. Sarcasm often relies heavily on tone, and that's difficult to convey via a nonverbal format. Also, people can have different opinions. If you really thought Ratchet & Clank was a great remake, if not the best, then I have no reason to question that, especially from the post you had made. It's not a notoriously bad remake, either, a lot of people like it. I even thought it was really good, just not as good as it could've been. I'm just saying...don't get ticked at us because you failed to properly set up and deliver what appears to be an in-joke...
On that note, I also think Octane was fairly serious about his statement regarding SotC being the "best. Remake. Ever." So I'm not sure your comment about it always being read as sarcasm holds water. I think the term you're looking for is "hyperbole." I certainly assumed as such on both counts, and figured it implied they were both highly regarded.
I never got into the former, and the latter just...ugh.
To be honest I though Ratchet was a fine game. Its why I got a PS4 as I long for the good old days of PS2 variety, what I missed was the OG weapons. They lean so damn heavily on stuff from the PS3 games, which has been happening since 2007.
Like some weapons appeared in TOD, ACIT, QForce, All4One, Nexus AND the Remake.
Id have liked more classic weapons, or new ones.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
