Topic: The Next Xbox Getting Revealed May 21st.

Microsoft has announced they will reveal the next Xbox on May 21st and it will be broadcast in a variety of places including Spike TV. What are you hoping to see? I'm hoping for pricing, specs, and games.

Not interested in it at all. I'd rather go buy an Atari 2600 for the same price as the new Xbox.

Cool. I'm looking forward to this. I think it will be called Xbox 1080, though. Or Xboxis. Who knows, but 720 doesn't sound right for some reason. Guess I'll just have to watch...

I'm not expecting much, but I am hoping they reveal something nice.

From the rumors going around people are saying that it will just be called Xbox. IMO I think thats kinda dumb. I mean the critics were all saying how the Wii U name would confuse consumers with the Wii U and Wii, I can just imagine what they would say if MS next systems was indeed called just Xbox.

It's ok if Microsoft does it though. Not even kidding, that's how the stuff usually goes down. We could have said the same thing about the PS3 or Xbox 360, but Nintendo is easier to pick on, I guess.
It's not like gamers would mix them up anyway. The console will look different, and the games will be improved which should be easily noticed no matter what it's called. That's the whole reason of releasing a new console - improvement.

Honestly, I don't think the PS4 will do well at all, and if the Xbox 720 is a copy of that, then it's also doomed to fail. The only console making company this gen that seems to know what it's doing is Nintendo. Contrary to all the naysayers the Wii U is exactly what it needs to be. All it needs right now is more games, and being that Nintendo has more studios under it's umbrella than Microsoft, Sony, and EA combined, it's really just a matter of time before public opinion of the Wii U shifts more positively.

That said maybe Microsoft will take heed to the lesson learned in the PS4 launches apathetic reaction and do something different. I'd like to see Rift, Hydra, and Windows as the main means of using the next system.

Then again they could just be leading us on a wild goose chase to say "Actually, we're not launching a nex-gen console! Our Nex-gen is Windows, and that's already here!" I'd have to say, not releasing a console at all is probably one of the better moves they could make financially. If they were to support the future of gaming with just PCs though, they'd have to have some means of backing that up, like a service that allows you to play games somehow from the disk without installing them, more use of split-screen for those who have it hooked up to a TV, a better controller with a mouse equivalent, like a trackball, and most of all, they have to make it somehow cheap. A gaming PC is about $1000, and that's not really going to catch on until it comes down to the $300 range, which can only be done with current gen consoles right now and wouldn't be a huge upgrade from the 360.

Not that I'm a particular fan of the Xbox brand, but I get excited about every big reveal, no matter who it's from, lol.

Cool. I'm getting a PS4 or 720 plus a Wii U, so I'll check this out.

Personally, I was not a fan of the 360 at all. Went the PS3 route instead because Microsoft doesn't like exclusives for some reason. But as a gamer I am really interested in what Microsoft has to bring to the table. Had the original XBox back in the day so I do have some fun memories of the brand. Might get one this time around if they support it with exclusives, who knows. Definitely has my interest.

It's nothing I'll be getting, but I'm still interested to see if they're actually going through with some of the crazy rumors we've heard people talking about.

Same. The only exclusives Microsoft seems to care about keeping are the stupiid dudebro shooters that I don't play anyway.

You do realize how uniformed you sound based on the fat that sony has actively published more shooters than Microsoft this gen and Microsoft had a big push publishing or having exclusive jrpgs.
