Have you ever been hyped for a game but when you play it you get disappointed by it for various reasons? This is actually normal between us gamers. Tell us your most games you were disappointed with.

it was Pokémon Dash... I wasn't hyped but it sucked(and scratched my touchscreen) enough for me to be disappointed.

there was already a thread like this before

oh come on, it was bad for paper mario standards but as a game it was actually pretty nice(except world 3 that was a punishment not a level)
and the soundtrack was one of the best ever!
this comes from someone who played and loved all Paper Mario Games(but never finished the first one )

Even for a game in its own, its not fun at all because of three flaws.

1.Even though you're given a choice to go anywhere you want, you still have to go to specific worlds inorder to get to the other areas so its pointless in making it open-ended. Kertsi won't help you much and there's world 3 area where you have to get this wriggler body part and head to the goal. Problem is that the goal is hidden well and you won't know it for sure till you read the guide but luckily you don't need to reach it to give the body part to wriggler. You'll get stuck because you have no idea where you're suppose to go because of its open-end thing. I guess you can say it kinda like Metroid but in there, its fleshed out well.

2. There isn't much you can do besides getting stickers. Ok yeah you can get Luigi and post stickers in the museum but that's just it. Even Super Paper Mario had some good replay value.

3. You know what, I won't criticize the story since this is straightforward no matter what you think about it but I can say that Bowser here is speechless! whatever happened to Bowser rotting out stuff like how he always does!

4.Last but not least........stickers. Why? everything you do you just get stickers for it. you don't get exp, the health is simply not much to get into and it is compulsory to get rare ones inorder to beat bosses. You can run away from bosses which isn't even thrilling....

I'm glad Dream Team is awesome and while Dream Team's story isn't as charming or adventurous as the other three, the gameplay, humor and music just make up for it pronto.

Look if you love the game, that's all it matters.....and to be fair, Nintendo has been training hard to make Mario games without Miyamoto around so this could be one of them failing and the visual and music are great and yeah I can get used to it like Dark Moon. But I can't blame this game from being any different than the others like how I can't blame Dark Moon for not being like the original. Dark Moon made me smile while this game didn't.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

Code of Princess. Why did I spend $40 bucks on this game?

I believe you mean "games you were most disappointed with." I keep thinking you're talking about the total number of games we've been disappointed with, which I know I can't count...

Anyways...probably Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. I read a review that said it was a great action RPG, and being new to reviews at the time, I took his word for it.

It was awful. The story was a mess, the cutscenes were way too long, the voice acting sucked, the characters had no facial expressions, the characters were mostly cliche and boring, some were even annoying. It was way too long, filled with padding, and some of the dumbest plot twists I have ever seen. The combat was one-note and inherently flawed, easily exploitable, and counterintuitive. Everyone played mostly the same, despite a large cast, and the only people who played differently were useless. Skills were junk because the useful ones took up far too much sp, so you either had 4 useless skills, or one or two useful skills that you used all the time. The item creation system was waaaay overcomplicated, and it's very easy to lose all your money to it due to random chance. Having to stand still to guard also annoyed me, and it only blocked weak attacks, meaning you almost never actually blocked anything, but you also had to do it to refil your attack meter (iirc), which was also kind of an annoyance. Also, if you use too much MP, you die. Also, for a sci-fi game, you spend way too much time on primative planets that just look like Medieval Europe. It was just plain awful.

Uncharted 3...
I hyped it big time. I had a calender in my locker in high school and I would scratch off the days leading up to the game's release and all that. I preordered the collector's edition as well. I was slightly disappointed with the game, for whatever reason. I still like Uncharted 2 better. Looking back, U3 is pretty good, but I don't think it's as good as U2.

Super Paper Mario was another I was disappointed with. Not because I had hyped it. No, I didn't hype it at all. I actually bought it several months ago for only a few dollars, and I thought it would be interestingly fun........ I beat the first boss and got bored. I haven't touched it since.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This game still disappoints me. I'm a huge Zelda fan, but this game.... just... argh! A lot of missed opportunities. I've played through it quite a few times, and I want to like it. I really do want to like it.... but I just can't! I remember being so stoked for it when it was revealed and reading all the news on it in Nintendo Power and all that jazz. When I finally got a copy of the game (gamecube version), I just was so let down. The game doesn't get "interesting" until halfway through. It's an okay game, it's just... not the best of the series. I still don't care about those bloody kids! Wind Waker is better.

Hate to say it, but probably SMW3D.

Beat the game in a few days, and it was fun, but I just have no desire to go back and play it again, let alone collect all the green stars or stamps. Mario Galaxy blew me away and is still something I can think about and go 'wow, that was a great experience', while this one, though good, was HIGHLY overrated.

Super Paper Mario
Metroid: Other M
Twilight Princess
Animal Crossing: City Folk (because it was just Wild World on the big screen - nothing really new was brought to the table....thankfully New Leaf is nothing like City Folk).

Dark-Luigi

Pokemon Black/White-Tried to get into it, just couldn't.
Dillion's Rolling Western- Really got fooled by the trailer.
Metroid- Got kind of bored when playing it.
Adventure Time Explore The Dungeon Because I Don't Know- Hey Ice King was good. Don't know what the hell happened here.

This is a really good list of misfires by Nintendo; these games also carry my Stamp of Disapproval.

With the exception of Super Paper Mario, all of the above games still earned a ton of play time. But that only convinced me of the mediocrity they settled for, rather than to become truly great!

This. Thankfully I bought it knowing it would suck.

Cringing is really fun.

Let's see

Pokemon Black/White: I bought it cause it was years since I played a Pokemon game Red was the last one I played. Kept hearing the hype bought it and couldn't get into it.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword: Wasn't impressed I finally figured that I prefer 2D Zeldas.

Star Wars the Force Unleashed II: Loved the first one so I bought this one without second thought boy was that a disappointment

Lego City Undercover: Dont get me wrong it was good but I think I was expecting more though.

I am sure there is more but that's all I can think of.
