@unrandomsam Fair enough. My first impression was 'is this something like Senran Kagura?'. Now I'm curious and will investigate.
Edit- Checked out some gameplay, you're not wrong mate. Intense. Not sure there's anything like it on the eShop. I'll take some.

They are an indie developer that would be worth having on the eshop.
Team Shanghai Alice ("Team", which at this point, only consists of one person) Would be a good idea to have on the eShop. Well, differing if it can have more people on the team, as well as different genres of games...
@Taceus The Touhou Project series has seen gaining some popularity in the general gaming community, as it is often referenced in games such as League of Legends, Skullgirls, Little King's Story, Path of Exile, Ragnarok Online, World of Warcraft, and not to mention that several of the characters were playable in the japan-only PSP RPG Nendoroid Generation.
It's usually what I like to refer to as the "arcade revival" series, as the series has consisted of arcade-styled shoot-em-ups and fighting games.
Eh, I just don't see TouHou coming to the eShop. ZUN hasn't had his games ported to any other systems before, why would he start now? And even if they did by some chance came to the eShop, they would probably be exclusive to Japan. It's not too big of a deal to me regardless, the games play just as well on computer anyways.

Recca '92 carnival. Touhou winds up being a warm up compared to this.
Recca's an entirely different ballpark. Recca's about speed, while danmaku is more about precision. The closest thing on the eshop is probably the dsiware game Metal Torrent. If you just want to try out the gameplay though, I recommend the flash game Bullet Heaven.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
@Cresartist Thanks for that mate. Only saw the shooter, I like the 'arcade revival' idea. I forgot about Recca '92 Carnival. @Jollykarp Not wrong about that precision. I couldn't believe it. As for the music, it's the first time my missus took an interest in game music. That's something.

@Taceus The game really does rely on precision. You can even slow down if needed, not to mention that the hitbox of a character is smaller than the actual sprite.

I absolutely adore the music. It makes the whole experience come together nicely. However, I think Touhou is hard because of an actual difficulty, while Recca is hard for BS reasons. The speed system is annoying, the bosses are unfair, the backgrounds are really distracting, and the sprite flickering is your worst enemy.

It probably won't. But hey, if Pac-Man can be in Smash, we can continue to dream.
