So i'm psyched about this, Telltale is apparently working on games based on The Walking Dead!

Telltale news email wrote:

Telltale is excited to announce games based on Robert Kirkman's terrifying, mesmerizing Eisner award-winning comic series, The Walking Dead, with the first episode set to come your way this fall.

In The Walking Dead, zomb ies have taken over the world. But as the survivors soon learn, the living can often be more dangerous than the dead.

Telltale is working with series creator Kirkman - the mind behind other comic-book favorites including Invincible, Haunt, and The Astounding Wolf-Man - to craft stories that fit into the world he's created.

We'll have plenty more to satiate your hunger for brains, er, details soon. To stay on top of the latest The Walking Dead information, head over to the game teaser site and sign up for email updates. And grab a wallpaper version of the amazing art that The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard created just for this announcement!

EDIT: They're also developing games based on Fables (the comic series) and my all-time fave point-and-click/adventure series King's Quest! /me collapses from adventure game awesomeness anticipation.

Great news! They're pretty busy these days. I'm surprised because they also have Back To the Future and Jurassic Park to work on too.

Jurassic Park is looking to be awesome. I also think the free episode for Back To The Future is now available.

Fables will be absolutely amazing but...I really don't think TellTale can provide the sort of experience I expect from a Walking Dead game. I'd hate to see it just be another point and click game when it has the potential to be so much bigger than that...

Yeah, The Walking Dead is a strange choice, but the writer is apparently working with them, so it can't be that bad.

Yeah, Kirkman's on board, and it seems that it will be set in the Walking Dead "world", so it'll perhaps focus on some other group of survivors rather than Rick's group. With the zombie-game craze going , it'll certainly be interesting to see the kind of spin that Telltale and Kirkman put on it.

But actually, i'm most excited about the new King's Quest game. The Silver Lining is awesome, but it will be great to see a new official entry into the series.

The Walking Dead game sounds cool. Figures crossed that it doesn't take the route most licensed games do.

Telltale have an excellent track record, everything they've made thus far has been excellent and they've successfully revived several franchises already. That said, I'm not particularly interested in Fables or the Walking Dead.. These will likely be the first games made by them that I don't bother with.

Jurassic Park and Kings Quest on the other hand..
