This place needs some Tekken love. There's fans here so let's have a play to discuss it. Maybe set up some online matches. Tekken's my favorite fighting franchise. Been playing since 2 and I just love it. Anyone here still enjoy the series?
Oh yeah. Tekken is probably my favorite fighting series right after Street Fighter. I believe that Tekken 1, 2, and 3 are the only PS one games I have left besides Legend of Dragoon and SotN. Plus I also have Tekken 4 and 5 on PS2 and Tekken 6 and Street Fighter X Tekken on Xbox 360. I havent tried Tekken Tag 2 yet but I remember playing the first one back in the day and not really liking it but who knows I might enjoy the second one.
For some reason the storylines of the characters intrigue me alot more than other fighting games which is one reason I love this series so much.

@Tasuki Tekken Tag 2 is really good. I'm loving it right now. I have it on the 360 and have probably sunk in well over 13 hours on it. At least 5 of those have to be customization alone. The customization system rocks. I made a super sayian Brian Fury, lol. The gameplay is good too. The tag feature is really fun in battle. I'd recommended it. It's a big step up from Tekken Tag 1.

Well I am thinking I might rent it from GameFly for the Wii U and give it a try. Since you have it on the 360 you probably have not played it on the Wii U huh?

Nope. If I had known I was gonna get a Wii U I would of held off on buying it. XD It seems like the better version though. With Tekken Ball making a return, Nintendo costumes, and mushroom battle. Just some longer than normal loading times.
@Retro: Loading times dont bother me. And return of Tekken Ball mode? Awesome. Yeah I will have to look into it, but than again there are alot of games that I have to look into lol.

I played a lot of Tekken as a kid. Mainly 2-4. Fun games, though I was never really good at them. I had this idiotic thought about 2 where because of some luck I somehow ended up believing certain characters were just by default better against others. Like a Pokemon Grass > Fire > Water system. No idea why.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 looks pretty cool. Might get it, might not.
I really don't understand Tekken's combat style. I've spent like 35 hours with it on Wii U, and it still feels clunky and overly aggressive compared to Dead or Alive 5. There are too many characters and not enough personality in them to me too.
But perhaps that's because I came to the series late.
Retro_on_theGo, I actually like that lili outfit you've made (lili is my main character).
By the way I just got tekken tag tournament 2 for the ps3 if anyone wants to add me and its up for a match My username is : florecita_22
I prefer tekken out of all the fighting games I have played. I dont like street fighter too much because Im pretty bad at it.
I've got myself a copy of TTT2 on my shiny WiiU. :3
I just play as the Panda and Sebastian. Epic butler man breaks necks. :3

Yeah Tekken is a bit of a button masher with a convoluted combo system that relies heavily on luck more than skill... Virtua Fighter was the better choice for the real arcade tournament showdown back in the day that mofo could draw big crowds while Tekken sat in the corner unloved
I'm more of a street fighter person, but Tekken is still a great fighter, I remember playing Tekken Tag Tournament at a bowling alley many years ago with some friends, and we didn't bowl there that much anyways XD.
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

Maybe the early ones, but by 3 it requires a lot of skill. Enough play and I figured out how to clobber people in Tekken 3. Too bad I'm not that good anymore.
i really like this tekken tag tournament 2 a lot! there is so many customization options and pretty clothes! it's like style savvy and a cool fighting game combined,
As far as other fighters go, I wouldn't mind getting a Super Street Fighter IV: Wii U Edition. C'mon, it's so going to happen.
Capcom are the kings of milkage'
THIS! The reason why I hate street fighter (unlike alot of people who love the series) is because I blame the crappy 3ds version of Super Street fighter IV to ruin my chances to try the series because Super Street Fighter IV out classes Street Fighter 2 & Super Street Fighter IV:3D is crap from what I've heard. Hence why I prefer tekken & I know your no fan waveboy but If your wondering why I hate street fighter, blame Super Street Fighter IV:3D for killing my intrests because portable fighters are generally bad.

Give me SSF4+5 capcom or else you WILL be sorry because SSFIV:3D sucked!
Not changing my statements until mario party 1 gets on the virtual console.
This is becoming a running gag. IMO, framerate asside, Super Street Fighter IV 3D was a pretty solid game. Maybe not as solid as Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 on the PS3, but still solid. And What's stopping you from trying a console version when that inevitably comes out? Because you played a verion you knew you wouldn't like? You may as well give it a rent at least if you got that option open to you, since you seem to think it's a game you should like. Seems a helluva lot smarter than getting hung up on such a small issue.
