Tales of Symphonia and Dawn of the New World have been confirmed for a HD pack for PS3, for Japan, Europe and North America!
No Wii U version announced yet, but I'm hopeful considering Symphonia and Dawn of the New World were released primarily on Nintendo consoles. Either way, I have a PS3, so I'll be picking this up regardless.
Dang! Namco really must want me to get a PS3. Even though I have both of these games, owning a second copy (hopefully the problems in DotNW will be fixed) would round out my ever growing Tales collection.

I hope it comes to the WiiU. I loved Tales of Symphonia so much that I would love to have it again, I lost my GameCube copy a long time ago. I'm hoping that during one of the future Nintendo Directs they will announce the localization for it in North America and Europe will be on the WiiU. Fingers Crossed if it did come out on the WiiU it could be a sign of good faith that maybe a Tales character may appear in the new Smash Bros. as well. ^^
Wasn't to much into Tales of the Abyss but i might check these out. I've heard they are the best. Where does TotA rank among other titles?
General consensus is that Tales of the Abyss is pretty good, while Symphonia is the best in the series. I'm pretty sure Symphonia is the most widely played at least, because Lloyd seems to be the character who represents the series the most often.
I've certainly heard more than a few people say that Vesperia and Graces are better than Abyss.
Although as with just about every fandom there's a furious argument raging over which game is better than the others.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

IMO, Tales of the Abyss has the best story in the series, though that's not saying much. story is usually the weakest aspect of this series. It's more about the characters, the world, and the gameplay, which are more important factors to me, anyways. That said, TotA is probably my second favorite game after Vesperia, and I have seen few who do not rank it high on their lists, except for people who couldn't give it enough of a chance because they can't comprehend the very idea of characters actually growing into interesting and likeable people instead of being that way right off the bat, thanks to all the lousy writing they're so used to.
As for Tales of Symphonia, it's not among my favorites, but it's still very good. It's story is weak, but no weaker than a lot of Tales games. Perhaps a little more predictable than usual, but not too much. It had mostly great characters, except for Colette, who is as bland as they come from beginning to end, though that's made up for by every other character being much more interesting and likable. I was never a fan of the semi-chibi character models, but that's personal tastes. The world itself is quite interesting, and the rest of the visuals are pretty good in my eyes. I love the music, too. Definitely looking forward to playing this again.
I won't be supporting devs that decide to ignore Wii U or Nintendo in general, so I won't be supporting this slap in the face to Nintendo fans.
It's not a slap in the face. It's business. Besides, they don't need Nintendo Fans. They need Tales fans, and any sensible Tales fan would've gotten a PS3.

Well said. :3
Actually, ya. Tales games always do better on PS consoles for whatever reason. I HAD Tales of Symphonia for GCN, and I didn't really like it. My brother on the other hand, liked it so much, that he thought the Dawn of the New World was better.
He got it day one for Wii, and liked the motion controls with the Wii remote. You can capture wild monsters and train them.
I basically bought my brother Tales of Symphonia, but that's when it was like $5.
EDIT: Maybe if Namco is cool, they'll let you use Move and the PS nunchuck(I seriously don't know what it's called) to play it.
I still have yet to beat tales of symphonia on mania in GC. I would love to play in the ps3. So are we getting full voice on all the skits? like the ps2 version only released in japan??
