I was out at the store yesterday, and I saw a PSP Go. I'd never heard of it, so I did some research. It sounded interesting enough. Anyways, it was only about $80.00. I want to know if it is worth looking further into, or if I should just forget it.
EDIT: If there is already a place for this, just let me know and I'll delete this.

I'd stick with a regular PSP 3000. I'm kind of surprised with the price, to be honest, since I thought Go's were more expensive, but whatever. PSP Go can't play UMD's so there is no way to play a big portion of the PSP's library or buy used games. You won't be able to play Lumines, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core or the awesome version of Rock Band Unplugged, among other games.

You can do everything a PSP Go can do with a PSP 3000. Except the latter does way more.

I'd love to get a Go, I always liked the design and most of my PSP games are digital anyway, but I never found it at any store.

I guess my main question is whether or not the price is a steal. Will a new PSP Go cost me less than a used PSP? If so, is buying used worth it in that case? As for the games, I only know of a few so far that I might like to play, and I'm pretty sure I can download them.

You can get a PSP 3000 at Gamestop refurbished for the same price.

In amazon, a new PSPgo is still 200 dollars. For some reason. I guess it's considered a collectors item.

I would get it for 80 dollars just because it's a pspgo, but that's just me I guess.

Ok, thanks. I'm not really looking for a new system, but that just caught my eye, since there was only one left. I guess there's no real rush, then.

Hm, maybe I should keep an eye on it then...

I agree with the 'if you want it as a collectors' item' idea, but if you're honestly looking for a system to play games on, go for a plain old PSP. You can pick up some great games and movies on UMD for amazing prices at Amazon and GameStop (if you have a local GS that still carries PSP stuff). :3

For what it's worth, the PSP Go does look slick. It's just that for practical purposes the PSP 3000 seems better. Sort of like the GBA Micro vs. the SP. The SP is pretty much better in every regard. It can play regular GB games and has multiplayer. The micro is... smaller. But it still has its audience.
