Today, at the World of Capcom panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Capcom Senior Producer Andrew Szymanski announced an all new Strider developed by Double Helix for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC! Originally released in 1989, Strider remains one of Capcom’s most enduring franchises. The game tells the story of Hiryu, the youngest [..
What a shame, this has potential as a primary demographic for the Wii U is retro gamers. They could have had a special where you get the original Strider for free if you downloaded it the first week,
Looks pretty good, I like a good ninja side-scroller. Shame it might not coming to Wii U. Looks like if I get it I will get on the PS4 if that's the case.
Lots are demanding a Wii U version in the comments. There are about just as many people saying Nintendo sucks. Man, Capcom, why couldn't you just announce it for Wii U as well, otherwise this whole war in the comments would have never happened...
UPDATE: “Hi guys. Ok I need to clear up a few things. First of all, Double Helix is developing the game. However Capcom Osaka is overviewing everything including the design. Secondly, it releases for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC via Steam. I was mistaken in thinking I saw the eshop logo when I made the first tweet. I tried to correct it but getting any type of internet connection here is a miracle. I spoke with a few members of Double Helix about Wii U and they said they can port it “if there’s a demand for it.”
So once they see enough demand for it to be on Wii U, they'll deliver. Nice to see we have a chance but I'm sick of having to petition, and demand, and fight to get good games on Wii U, why can't we just be treated equally like Playstation or XBOX and be announced along side them? >: (

Because they're in the business to make money, and on a console with a small fanbase that traditionally doesn't buy anything but Nintendo games, there's a good chance they're not going to make money. Gaming is not a right. You chose to go with the Wii U instead of the PS3 or 360. Now you reap what you sow.
