Two of my favorite fighting games pitted against each-other? Yes...yes please. I never expected this to be honest. It will use SF4's fighting mechanics and engine by the looks of it. It's coming out for only PS3 and Xbox360 and obviously will have online. Marvel Vs Capcom 3,now this? I love Arcade fighters. I think the popularity is returning. http://kotaku.com/5595524/street-fighter-x-tekken-unveiled-as...

But it's also getting released using Tekken's fighting mechanics. It will be called Tekken x Street Fighter instead of Street Fighter x Tekken and will be handled by Namco instead of Capcom. So you can choose which version you want, but I would personally go for Tekken x Street Fighter, but just because I like Tekken better.
Atomic wii man is correct about there being two versions of the came one by capcom and one by Namco and i would assume that the namco will hit acades before the capcom one. The being as i heard that there only just about to release a version of the second street fighter 4 to arcades.
I have to disagree with the thread starter i dont think arcade fighters are get popular again and the only new thing this brings to the fighter Genre is that its between namco and capcom franchises thats about it bog standard fighter otherwise.
I'd honestly prefer Tekken X Street Fighter. Let's see how dangerous Zangief is if you just sidestep his grabs.
