What do you do when a new comptetitor just launched it's service and promoted it with a free game and two games 50% off? you go out and discount a JRPG from no other than Square-Enix by 75% off!

About the Game wrote:

Mitra, yama, qsiti, sovani...
These four races exist in one world.
A world filled with Remnants — mysterious artifacts from an ancient era.

Who created the Remnant? How long ago? And for what purpose?
With these questions left unanswered, the Remnants became beneficial tools used for the good of civilization.
The world was at peace...or so it seemed. Who was to know such darkness lay in wait?

The powers of the Remnants slowly began to change the world's balance.
A rift slowly formed between those who ruled and those who obeyed.
This was the dawning of a new era — an era of countless frays that would be brought upon the world by those enslaved by their own lust for power.

A thousand years later, the journey of one young man begins.

Featuring an enthralling story, countless characters and an intricate battle system, Square Enix brings the RPG experience known as The Last Remnant to the PC.
Discover new strategies in the improved battle system.

-Blast through your battles with Turbo Mode
-Battles can be played out with twice the speed for faster game progression
-No more leader units
-Enjoy more freedom when creating unions!
-A new equipment preview feature
-Use the preview feature to purchase items depending on stats or aesthetics
-Choose between English or Japanese voice acting
-The voices can be switched between Japanese and English

If you have one of the following Graphics Cards, you are good to go:

ATi Radeon Series:
9800
x1300
x1600
x1900
HD2400
HD2600
HD2700
HD3400
HD3600
HD3700
HD3800
HD4400
HD4600
HD4700
HD4800
HD4900
HD5400
HD5600
HD5700
HD5800
HD5900

nVidia GeForce series:
8600
8800
9600
9800
GT 2x

If you have any of those cards (and their derivatives... the Radeon HD 4870 x2 and the GeForce 8600 GTX are derivatives of the HD4800 and 8600 families respectively) this game should work for you

It appears that Valve has other tricks up their sleeve...

A Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend is incoming, to celebrate the War Update. You can preload the game now off the TF2 Steam page in preparation of the release of the update (which will be around Friday to Saturday). If you a good enough computer, download it now.

Please no "Destroy This!" gags, please.

@Swiket Thanks for the clarification.

Well after installing Games on Demand, I think I will stick with my new friend Steam.

I found GoD, I already had it XD
I tried to get the new game, but I need a credit card and there is no option to use paypal (why I have to do it for a free game beats me).
credit cards don't like me

To get the free game (Tinker LIVE), when it asks for a payment method, click on Microsoft Points and it will say it's free, and will let you buy it without problems.

Beware that the site is not 100% accurate and can be misleading when using AMD CPUs and/or ATi GPUs (since the webpage is an nVidia partner, ATi's competitor)... for example, it says my PC can barely run Crysis and doesn't pass the recommended level, while truth is my PC can max out Crysis @ 1600x900 with a constant 30 fps...

I like system requirements lab but it always has one mistake, it says my VRAM is way more than it is. Mine is a mere 128 and it always shows 313. Not sure if it is an error or what.

So is the free game any good ?

That's because main RAM is ALWAYS shared with GPU... Windows says I have more than 2 GB of VRAM, while I only have 1 GB dedicated, the rest is shared from main RAM.

And yes, the free game is awesome, a fun and challenging time waster, specially trying to get all the Achievements.

PS: You should also grab the Viva Piñata demo... Viva Piñata and Shadowrun are only 800 Microsoft Points each until January 8, so a 1600 Microsoft Points card ($19.99) would get you RARE's only game to ever been on PC (As far as I know) and an awesome online shooter that features cross-plattform play with Xbox 360.
Of, get some more casual games, they are 50% off too: Where's Waldo, Osmos, World of Goo.

GFWL Overlay rules, I like it a lot more than the Steam Overlay lol, what I like more is the fact that GFWL games are more available than Steamworks games...

Anyway... GamersGate.com is having a 20% off sale on EVERYTHING. how do you take advantage of it? simple, use the coupon code GG-FACEBOOK-FANS when buying a game to get your 20% off. No matter what game it is, it's discounted.
