according to CVG Steams about to add trading to it client, which will allow you to trade various thing including games and any extra copies you may have. They are also in talks with other publishes to make there games available for the service. seems like a good idea to me whats your thoughts and apparently theres a beta.
addition to the above its only games purchased as gifts that are available to trade and extra copies.
