Oh yeah and, yep. I never even thought that they were planning on revealing a new console yet, I don't get what's up with the rumors.

Sony cant afford too in the first place. toys needs to be on the vita and getting the ps3 out of #3. (which wont happen)

With as many people who I saw buy a PS3 this Christmas... Yeah, I don't think it is necessary to unveil a PS4 at this time.

That settles that then.
Now we don't have to care what Sony does this E3 because Nintendo is gonna rock us like a hurricane.

I'd have to agree. I don't know Sony can compete with Microsoft and nintendo. both those companies are young with different stragties and Sony is ill equipped to combat any of them 1 on 1

Wow Sony dropping out of the console business and perhaps joining Gaikai? That would be interesting to a certain degree. I hope not but if it's what has to happen then, yay for Sony.

But will Microsoft reveal a new console? I highly doubt it, they could easily just keep re-inventing the 360 with new hardware and what not, like what they do with their computer software.

I still think that Nintendo will own this E3 though, new games to announce along with Wii U, just don't be as awful as last years E3 please... facepalm in disgust

if i had to guess which company would quit consoles it would be microsoft. they've had a lot of problems with high system failure rates and their biggest strength has always been their online service rather than their hardware anyway. sony is a gadget oriented company and they've been marketing their consoles as all in one entertainment devices, which is harder to do without a physical system. it's much easier to imagine the computer company that keeps stumbling over its own feet in the video game business to move to internet based gaming than the electronics giant that's had huge success with video game systems over the past 18 years.

Nintendo needed an upgrade to their hardware. Sony and Microsoft are doing just fine with what they have.
I mean how much better can the graphics honestly get?

go watch Microsoft ces. they're not leaving any time soon. compare that to Sony who has the deck stacked against them.

I would think Sony would leave the gaming area to be honest. No offence to those Sony fans, but Sony have been riding on other people's successes for years. All you have to do is look at the Playstation Move, it's a Wii Remote with a ball, how imaginative... roll eyes

Not to mention that their PSP Go was a flop. The PSP was outsold by the DS. Along with the Wii and Xbox continuing to outsell the PS3. No matter what, their sales have always been lower than the competition.

He means that they have; High failure rates in the monitors, Bravia's catching fire, PSN hack 4 (?) times, Skyrim and more games eperiencing massive glitches, the list goes on. Microsoft on the other hand, is strong and I believe they will not make 720, because they added so much more to Kinect and it's too late to give it up. They had record sales for 360, AAA and AA titles on the way and massive updates, it's way too soon for 720.

The original Assasin's Creed fried my brother PS3 twice back in 2007. Also PSN was hacked back then, too. So a lot these issues have been going on for quite some time.

The only reason why the current consoles are getting by is that they render in low resolution (some cases, much lower than 720p) and use low field of views. And they still can't keep up to 60 fps in some cases. The hardware only supports dx 9 and can only use low resolution textures due to low ram and vram.

i really am hesitant to write this, but i doubt its any secret who i. like.

reasons why Sony has the deck stacked
playstation brand has been deprecated.
playstation division is still bleeding money.
Tb division is bleeding money.
they bought full control of the Sony phone business which is failing.
they out price themselves out of most markets.
most of their other entertainment are faiiling. spiderman failing will kill Sony pictures.
losing the merchendising and animation rights to spiderman
none of their products intergtate in a meaningful way.
poor vita sells.
Japan devs putting money on the 3ds
conflicting memory card formats and neither are industry standards.
lack of ecosystem
failing.to gain exclusive content for.their platforms like.mircosoft.
having too pay Microsoft $15 for every phone they make.
lack of road map showing where they want to be in the next years.
no type of universal design between all their products
owning two competing movie stores
having the movie and music store being seperate entire.
stopping products on oled tvs when in a year those will be the big sellers.

the biggest problem is they have the same.problem mircosoft and apple both had. but apple came.back with a compelling ecosystem and Microsoft is in the process of doing it right now and getting a ton ot praise.
