Birds gotta fly, fish gotta swim, Sony gotta copy everything so they can make more dull and uninspired video games.

weird how Sony's patent is about half a year older than Nintendo's. Ah well, they'll probably capitalize on it once Nintendo is successful with their Wii U

Sony plays it safe. What else do you expect from a third-rate company.

It's decent. It doesn't fit a person's hand right. Not like the marvelous GCN controller. And it doesn't add any creativity points.

Says who? It fits my hands perfectly comfortably. It must be comfortable for a lot of other people too, since Sony never felt the need to change it. Three consoles later.

As for creativity. I'm pretty sure Sony invented the Dual Shock. Ergo, creative.

Those who pass off the opinions of others as blind fanboy-ism can only be true fanboys themselves. Blind to the fact that some people have opinions that differ from their own with just as much merit. Just because you can claim to be a technology design expert does not, in fact, strengthen your opinion; nor does it prove other opinions wrong. As far as I, or anyone else can prove, you know as much as any standard opinion-giver. I can therefore come to the evidenced conclusion that you are the only "fanboy" who wishes to share his opinion. Your opinion is not discounted or wrong by any means, but your proclaimed superiority reveals your true outlook.

Beautiful theory. Flawed, since it assumes that opinions are all equal in legitimacy, but nice try.

I can back my opinions up with proof. Which is more than anyone who has claimed the Move is a copy of the WiiMote can.

@gamesake

you do realize Sony already does this same type of tech when connecting their tablets to their smart tvs. that and the pep,vita, and ps3 had similar functions.

it would be better to do research before you speak.

Except, there's "hurdles" to get over. Every WiiU console comes packaged with the tablet controller because that's the core focus of the console- the controller. Vitas do not come packaged with PS3s, nor do Sony televisions come packaged with Sony tablets.

I can't wait to play Wii U ports on my PS4 tablet controller.

Gamesake thinks he's cool because he hates Sony. He's trying to be the natural enemy of JumpMad.

And you don't do the same? You keep talking about this mystical thing called evidence that no one brings up in their arguments. The funny thing is, neither do you. And being condescending does nothing for your arguments.

and that's not the point. the point is this tech isn't new. and the wii u has the biggest disadvantage of not having its own processor unit limiting what can be done with the two.

also that's really the cheap answer. most people i know with ipads also has a apple Tv and vice versa google Tv.

That's not your point, but it is my point.

And that's all on you. I'm on the opposite side of what you see. Plus, I would not put it past people who have AppleTVs to have an iPad as well.

And how are facts a cheap answer?

Why do they copy like this? I wish they'd be more original.

but your point is mute on a pure conversation of the tech and its applications. its been done before and not that innovative.

@Vincent

Doubt they are copying. Companies always patent things all the time. Always. Sony has been working on Playstation Move before Nintendo came out with revealing their new controller. It seems like Sony is the type to hold off on their ideas and see what others do to then dip their toes into the water.

Looking at the big picture, they don't seem too confident in their ideas.

@shiji
Don't you mean moot?

Either way, I don't throw in sugar, spice, and everything not so nice in what I say. It's the bitter truth. Deal with it.
And I never said anything regarding innovating or all that.

I'm just telling it like is. WiiU consoles come packaged with WiiU tablets. Vitas don't come packaged with PS3s. It is what it is.

Whether or not you view an opinion as legitimate, all opinions are equal. Just because you believe one opinion is poorly stated or lacks sufficient evidence, does not mean it is not legitimate. You see, opinions are not fact, they are relative to the person whom creates or shares them. If you can provide proof for your opinion, that is truly fantastic. It does not make your opinion more "legitimate" or valid than any other. Besides, such proof has not been given.

i never said you were sugar coating it. i just thing your greatly over estimating that built in tablet as an advantage when its nothing but a plastic shell.

I never said you said I was sugar coating. I'm not over estimating anything.

You're just misunderstanding the point I'm trying to get at. I'm not going to repeat myself for the 3rd time because it's really getting redundant. Call it what you want.

This is getting a little off topic, but I'll throw in my two cents. I agree with everything you said except that all opinions are equal. I don't follow the politically correct mumbo jumbo of today. A child's opinion is not equal to an adult's. An emotionally charged opinion is often irrational. And some opinions are just stupid. Like once I heard a guy say that Skyward Sword looked like an N64 game. That person's opinion is so far from the truth it doesn't make sense. And if a person's opinion comes with Ad Hominem attacks and condescending remarks (wink wink) I don't think it's worth arguing with.

because sticking buttons on an iPad is a genius idea that no one could have though of without Nintendo.

Regardless of what the Nintendo fanboys would like to think, Nintendo wasn't being creative with Wii U.

Eh, I dunno. They weren't creative and original with the design, but the uses and possibilities may surprise us.

And that's exactly what this is about.

The gaming aspect. The games are what is going to make the connectivity between a tablet controller and console innovative.
