I can understand it being a TV show because TV Shows usually don't take the games seriously but this is the actual third Nintendo exclusive game that Sega is making??????? WHY?????? We all know that games based on TV SHOWS DON'T DO VERY WELL! INFACT! THEY DO VERY POORLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And why do they need to make a Reboot? No one asked for this! I rather take the storyline of Sonic Colors/Generations than this Junk! I don't want this new design for Sonic I love the modern one in Colors and Generations and so on!

I think the thread title is misleading, I'm pretty sure that it's been stated somewhere that this is only a branching of the series, and is not the new look for the Sonic series. Kinda like how Paper Mario isn't part of the main series. Anyways, Knux is definitely gonna take some getting used to in this iteration, but I think when they're not all standing up next to each other, Sonic and Knuckles don't look as bad.
I'm in the lonely 'I like knuckles new look' camp. The old knuckles which I also liked a lot has now been happily replaced in my mind now hopefully Sonic Boom is the reboot Sonic needs/deserves/I've always wanted to see
People and Sega can delude themselves by saying it's not a reboot but money talks. Sega is obviously betting big here with the whole high quality TV Series/Game dev/Toy line all for a single brand not Sonic in general. Reboot status will follow the money trail especially if this hits big with the kids.

What's the point in talking about it? Because maybe some people don't mind it, or (gasp) actually like it? And no, we don't know Sega will fail in this approach, some people might like it and some kids might enjoy watching the show on CN. It may not be their best idea, but it has potential to do alright, there's no telling how it will do, but just because you don't like it means it will fail? Didn't people think the 3DS was a failure or something? Also, it's not strictly based on the show at all. The show just has some backstory to the game and will go in harmony with the game. You know what? Maybe I was a bit harsh about this one earlier. I just wanted SEGA to make a great game that will help Nintendo with their Wii U problems so that explains why I'm upset about it.
While I don't know how much the game sold, Pac Man's new TV show is getting a second season this year and I think it's been pretty successful
Maybe Sega is thinking if Namco can do it, why not us? Its not like Sonic is a stranger to TV anyway. He's been in some pretty successful shows in the past. Maybe Sega is determined to make Sonic a major player in gaming again.
A new TV show, a new game, and redesgins of the characters. It looks like Sega is trying to get something big to happen with the Sonic franchise.
