I really wasnt to impressed with the Demo myself, it just felt unbalanced to me. I will prob pick it up on the cheap down the road at some point but there is just too much other greatness out to play at the moment. I was really looking forward to this one though, demo just didnt do it for me.

Everything I've heard is along these lines - competent, but ultimately forgettable clone of Mario Kart.

Personally, I'm just going to buy Chocobo Racing off the PSN. For Sonic racing games, I have Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics.

Mario Kart Wii sucked, this is a clone, so this sucks.

Didn't do it for me either. I was hyped up til I played the demo and the demo made me wait for a 20 dollar price tag.

The online sounds pretty good. Is there WiiSpeak?

Hopefully, it also has a much better Battle Mode than Mario Kart Wii. MKW's Battle Mode stinks. Double Dash's is much better.

I'm really pleasantly surprised so far

I tried the demo, and it's pretty cool. It feels a lot like Mario Kart, though, so I don't know whether it'll seem redundant.

I have the Xbox 360 version of ths game, and it RULES. Sonic Racing might even be fun more fun than Mario Kart Wii. Even IGN has bowed down to the awesomesauce this game is. I need to buy the PS3 and Wii versions later on.

Just got the DS version. It's awesome! You earn credits to buy characters, tracks, and music instead of frustratingly trying to complete tasks just to unlock the last character (on Mario Kart DS, I haven't unlocked ROB yet).

One question: why does the game keep flashing during races? It's distracting and annoying.

Wii version is excellent, think I prefer it to Mario Kart, but I was a big SEGA fan so hearing all the familiar music (inc. Sonic R!) adds a lot to the fun. Frame rate bugged me at first (spoiled by 60fps) but you adjust after about an hour of play.
Since Sumo also did the ports of Outrun 2, the drift mechanic is spot on and its just a great racer.

The poor framerate on the demo put me off. If they fix that I might buy it.

My son is infatuated with this game.
