Wii U: gonna see what's on sale and what takes my fancy at the time. But it'll be between indie games and stuff like Captain Toad, Yoshi's Wooly World and Kirby Rainbow Curse.

PC: Depends what's on sale on my steam wishlist, but likely Cities: Skylines and stuff like Kentucky Route Zero or Transistor. Maybe some Total War DLC? Also Innerspace if that's out by then, which I backed on Kickstarter but at too low a tier to get a copy. Also know the developer making Big Pharma, which is out on Early Access at the moment, so might pick that up as well (couldn't afford it before).

Or if Valve announce HL3 (or even Portal 3) as launch game for Vive headset, I might be asking for that for Christmas

Fallout 4 man, that's all you need. And Doom and Tomb Raider (whenever it comes to PC...). And Dishonored 2. Basically anything from Bethesda.

Well, definitely Yoshi/Star Fox/Mario Maker on my Wii U.

For Xbox/PS4... hrm... Halo 5 MAYBE. Really depends on how the launch goes over - won't be jumping in day 1. I'll be playing through the Uncharted Collection when that comes out October/November. And ABSOLUTELY Rise of the Tomb Raider. They did an AWESOME job with the reboot. I've always been a big fan of Tomb Raider, and the reboot was just done so well in my opinion: perfect adventure game.

@rallydefault it was a boring same all third person shooter instead of all what made the original Tomb Raiders fun and unique and combing puzzles with action. It was a terrible game.

Yeah, Fallout Shelter's light RPG elements are reminding me how great Fallout 4 will be. Assuming it's like Elder Scrolls, it'll be a crash course in open world RPG design for CD Projekt Red. Also, hella fun.

Uhm...what? It wasn't a shooter, dude. It was only a "shooter" if you played it like that.

Go back and play Tomb Raider 1 (I just did a few days ago). The gameplay is VERY similar. Puzzles, jumping, a bit of shooting... I think you are forgetting what Tomb Raider really is.

You sound pretty jaded, so forgive me if I'm just going to completely disagree with your opinion.

@WaveBoy
And for you... you do realize The Last of Us came out WAY after the "survival" Tomb Raiders that you speak of? So...yea...your timeline makes no sense. Same comment for you as for the inflated blue Yoshi dude: go back and play Tomb Raider 1. Do it. It's cheap on Steam. I think you'll find your memory is a bit tweaked as to what you profess is truly "Tomb Raider." The new reboot has a HUGE emphasis on puzzles and going back to previously explored areas once you obtain new skills/tools.

Man - do you guys actually play these games that you freely volley your opinions on? lol

Tomb Raider was pretty amazing when it first arrived on the PS1, even though it was never one of my favorite games on the system you at least have to give it props for doing something different in the realm of 3D. Still, would it of killed them to of thrown in some background music. It's a pretty lifeless experience.

Anyways, haven't played any of the new 'survival' based Tomb Raiders which seem to be jumping on the Last of Us train wagon. I've got no real interest, same thing goes for Uncharted. I've noticed a trend with 'modern' playstation/XBOX games. Very little emphasis on puzzles & backtracking and instead gives you the action Jackson + gore full throttle.

Tomb Raider '13 beat The Last of Us to market by 3 months.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I felt that Tomb Raider has been the kind of game where you choose what you want to make of it. Like if you want, you can make Tomb Raider '13 more of a Metroid style game than Federation Force

Pretty much. The world was kind of a worse Prime game, all metroidvanian and such.

Also, the foundational 3rd person shooter with gore is Resident Evil 4.

Eh, games seem kinda samey nowadays. I get how it's easy to lump them all together. After reading up on it and watching some demo's though, I think Rise of the Tomb Raider, is my most anticipated title during this busy fall season. I never played the reboot but it seems to have been received well but this one is going to have more actual tomb raiding. I maybe should get around to the reboot some day.

I played all the Tomb Raiders and this one had very little to do with puzzles. There were the few secret tombs and that's it. The rest was shoot your bow on guys on the bridges watch them die go on repeat. Cutscene. Shoot some more. A few jumps and climbs. Shoot some more guys. Repeat. That was the game. I played it.

And it's Blimp Yoshi.

I'm a sucker for mega man compilation releases. The downside? it's far from being a Legacy. I mean seriously? Only MM 1 through 6 on the NES? They should of renamed it The Mega Man 'NES' Legacy. Good thing they're going to give us a retail release eventually, because getting the digital release would feel far less special considering you can already score MM1-6 on the Wii and 3DS's VC.

You mean Wii U VC to get the complete 1-6? So that is totally Capcom though, they are going to milk Mega Man some more and maybe release a collection 2, 3, 4... Nintendo console owners, you can buy the roms at $5.00 or a pop where Xbox One and PS4 owners can get all that and more for $15.00. Dat Nintendo premium...
