@Moskyj: just passing out isn't the worst of your potential problems with that sort of plan — it's important to get up and move around every so often too, get the blood circulating again. otherwise, you're prone to blood clots, and those are no bueno... when you hear about people dying from extended gaming marathons, that tends to be what happened

Well, Nintendo doesn't openly talk smack about their competitors. None of that 16 bit war type marketing nowadays.

@Wheels2050: Oh, I didn't realize you're from Australia. That changes things completely.
Stuffs a lot cheaper in America, at least on the consoles. A PS3 is $250 maximum over here, and the games aren't incredibly expensive either. PC gaming in your territory makes a whole lot of sense. You should have said so earlier.

@moomoo Even in North America, PC gaming makes sense. If you spent $250 to upgrade the comuter you already have, assuming it is fairly new and decent already, to improve the PCs gaming performance, you could probably stretch that far enough to get it around as good performance as a PS3. With the money you would save on games through sales, I think PC gaming in America makes a whole lot of sense.

@EmpireIndustries: Maybe I was being a bit too hard on the medium. I guess it just depends on financial positions when you get right down too it. And with some great free to play stuff out there, it could be very affordable.

Even if you don't have a good PC, there are many games that will run perfectly fine on older systems.
