I disagree with you. I'd rather see Yahct Club games do a take on another series. Like they're take on Castlevaina (The pre- SOTN series) or Metroid.

WAT!

So the game is like two weeks old and you already want a sequel?

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Not to mention that it is still unfinished (some extra modes are still being worked on)

I am loving Shovel Knight, but I would rather see them create another retro inspired title.

To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

"NL: What plans do you have for the future? Will we see more projects for the Wii U eShop and 3DS?

SV: Right now, more projects seem like a long time away, as we're very focused on Shovel Knight and the Kickstarter. That said, our minds have often wandered onto follow-ups like Super Shovel Knight, or maybe even Shovel Knight 64! We also have ideas for totally different games, including a couple of projects we already have art and designs for. Recently, the Wii U and 3DS have captured our attention, so I would not be surprised if we ended up with another game on one or the other!"

Does anyone know how well it has actually sold?

I am still waiting for an EU release. Would be cool if they could do a Nintendo and turn a good 2D game into a good 3D game for the sequel.

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

Can you think of a 3D Wayforward game that was any good ? I got that Centipede game as an import when I thought they did no wrong temporarily.

There's no reason they could make a Shovel Knight sequel that is more like a Castlevania / Metroid style game and kill two birds with one stone. It is important to conserve stones where possible.

Come on, friends,

it's tracking at number three in the na eshop right now. just below zelda hd (packin/mario kart promo) and pikmin (mario kart promo) so i would say quit well on the wiiu considering it's release date.
