I honestly wouldn't be opposed to the idea. There are still some games from that era I would like to see HDed like Republic Commando, Shenmue 2, and KOTOR 1&2 for a few games. For certain games I think it might be needed update the AI and such a little, but overall I'm game for the idea. (No pun intended.)
I think it's more likely that we'll eventually start seeing re-releases of PS3 games on the PS4, but I wouldn't mind having remakes of games like KOTOR.

@Tasuki It wasn't released on the PS2, but that's why I said PS2 era instead of just PS2 games, so Xbox games and such would be part of the disscussion if the was why you were wondering.

I'd rather they just roll them all out on PSN. 7 years into PS3's life, there's finally a pretty good PS1 library on PSN (still missing several classics, but it's good), but the PS2 selection is still pretty barren. It's like rubbing salt in the wound when they put something like Dora the Explorer as a "PS2 Classic" in their weekly blog.
