Would you be able to go a whole year without buying a new video game? I'm thinking about doing this challenge. While chatting with friends about prior games we've played, I find myself saying "Yeah I really want to play X game again but I just don't have enough time." or having to plow through a recently purchased game due to a backlog of titles.
What I want to do is just spend a year revisiting titles I may have only finished once before. Like Alan Wake, Captain Toads Treasure Tracker, Splinter Cell series or maybe the first Arkham games.
There are some single player games under 10 hours that I'd love to dive back into. Does anyone else having this [first world] problem? The next 365 just might be dedicated to yesterdays games.
Before I bought my Wii U I hardly ever bought games, just the odd one or two in Steam sales really, but ever since Mario Kart 8 revitalised my love for games I've become basically addicted to searching for deals and researching great games across multiple platforms (I've added a 3DS and PS3 to the Wii U, Wii and PC on my list of gaming platforms).
This new year I said to myself I should probably lay off spending so much on games as 2014/15 had been pretty reckless... but as it turns out I've probably actually bought, on average, a game a day for every day of 2016.
I need to take this challenge, but I'm not ready for it. I'm sick.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
