There you go! You heard it here first folks! This game is bloody brilliant!

Great news everyone! Super Meat Boy is going to be on sale for only 800 MS points($10) instead of 1200 MS points($15) which was originally planned! This sale starts tomorrow when the game launches on the XBLA and this price will only be available for a limited time. Not sure how long it will be before the price returns to the normal 1200 MS points. It makes me wonder what the price of this game will be when it finally launches on WiiWare. Will it be $10 or $15? Anyway, here is the link to the story: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/19/super-meat-boy-on-sale-for-...

EDIT: I just found out that the price will go back up to 1200 MS points after November 21.

@vonseux It was originally going to be a WiiWare and PC game only. I think it doesn't matter what platform it's released on anyway, it looks like a great game from some indie developers who have a good history.

Also, if the reviews normally don't like games with high difficulty and minimal graphics, but they give the game a high score, doesn't that make you think it's even better than what you thought?

Where's the logic in saying it got high reviews all around, so it must be a bad game?

Downloaded it. It really is great. I'm only about halfway through world 2, but I've been revisiting levels to collect bandages and get faster times. It's unforgiving in its difficulty, but the control is perfect, and I have yet to blame the game for a death, which is saying something considering how many times I've died!

I am really hoping this doesn't end up seriously crippled on WiiWare, but I'm kinda nervous that it might...

This game seems like the polar opposite of Kirby's Epic Yarn on the platforming scale, and yet they are both super-awesome.

Huh.

Check out my classy comics.

Oh, no free DLC is unfortunate, but aside from that I suppose it won't matter. Although if the XBLA version is $10 (at least temporarily), well... I just hope the WW version doesn't cost too much.

Got the demo on XBLA and it was pretty solid. Might get this one eventually.

Midway through World 3 with a lot of Dark Side (or whatever) levels done, too, and I can say that so far this game brings serious challenge without ever feeling unfair. Every obstacle is reasonably surmountable...even if it is often darned tricky.

Even if the game sucks from this point on, I've gotten my $10 worth...and I truly doubt that'll happen. Definitely a great one. And friggin' hilarious.

Huh.

That's because platforming done right is super-awesome regardless of the game's difficulty.

I am saving my Wii points... but then again, I might get the Steam version.

Wow, that review was awesome! This and Bit.Trip FATE are the things I'm saving my points for before the holidays. Well, OK, I don't have points for Meat Boy yet, but it won't be on WW for at least a few weeks (sadly ) so I'll have them by then.

What I don't understand is why this game didn't get released on all the systems at the same time.
They were planning and developing the game on Wiiware first, so if anything it should've came out on that system first.
I still don't know what system I'll get it for, but it just makes me a little irritated when microsoft or whomever makes deals to get games first while everyone else has to wait or get's screwed, sorry PSN.

I don't get why that's even a problem. Who cares who gets it first, so long as all of them get the games at all and in good enough condition?

As I'm sure we're all aware, Nintendo has sole control over release dates and as for the logic behind the timing...
