But I also don't like to compare traditional RE with Modern RE, so that just leaves RE4 to compare it to.
I think this is something everyone needs to do. People go on too much about how the games are not horror games and how that makes them terrible pieces of trash. If you stop trying so hard to compare them to the originals, then they're truly excellent games. Yes, I know, why should we not compare them when they're called Resident Evil? Well because then maybe you can enjoy the game for what it is and stop hating it for what it's not.
But yes, it's most likely a RE game, considering the post farther down comparing the symbol to the biohazard symbol.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

RE5 was pretty bad anyhow. Like, really bad. I cannot believe it got such good reviews when it came out. That or I've played too many really good games in the past couple of years.
I agree wholeheartedly.
Also, Revelations is set between RE4 and RE5.
She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.

No offense intended — just wanted it to be clear (i saw the GI review mistake as well).

What was up with that? lol GI doesn't usually do that sort of thing.
Maybe Revelations will clear up how Chris got so ripped. He makes body builders look like Steve Urkel.

Well, this will be interesting. What happens now that Wesker is outta the game? Story-wise, they better have a REAL good excuse of what will happen. I'd also hope that the T and G-virus would make a comeback (but it isn't).
More importantly though, they better bring back the survival horror aspects. Combine the survival horror (low ammo, driving players to curiosity, huge anticipation when progressing, etc.) with the convenient controls of the post-RE4 games. Using new characters is fine with me (or Rebecca), but they should be memorable like the others. Lastly, I wish they wouldn't have to use their MT Framework Engine and use Unreal Engine instead at 60fps and no motion blur. Shadows would also help the game bring more creep into it.
My expectations of the next Resident Evil game would be high, but I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom messed up.

It'll be our luck they'll screw with the formula so much it'll turn out like Devil May Cry.Have you seen what they did to Dmc 5? Oh please god don't let that happen to RE.

I hope they bring back Zombies that's for sure. And I hope Wesker is out of the game, let some other mad man take over for once that doesn't actually have super human abilities. Resident Evil went too far starting with Code Veronic which also had this Anime zing to it which i didn't like at all. RE1-RE3 & the Remake are the most grounded in the franchise and they kept that horror and George A Romero-ish vibe in tact.

Just don't make running zombies. The scaryness of zombies comes from the fact that they remind us of death, and if they're running around like energetic madmen, the whole point is gone. Zombies should be slow and not intelligent in any manner.
36. Posted: Thu 19th Jan 2012 15:06 GMT
Well even if the zombies are not coming back to RE6, at least there is that Operation Raccoon City to look forward t-Looks like Resident Evil turned into an L4D/CoD clone people. I hope RE6 stays away from this formula. Granted, I'm still buying the game, and it may be great, but I love Resident Evil for what made it great in the first place. Limited ammo, tight and tense situations, puzzle solving, etc.

That looks awful, I guess that's what happens to Resident Evil when you let a Western developer get their grubby mits on it.I've got zero interest in this that's for sure.
38. Posted: Thu 19th Jan 2012 15:31 GMT
Hey Wave, Have you tried L4D? The only reason I'm interested to an extent for Operation Raccoon City is that it bears some resemblance to the game. Who knows, it could be a great online experience... Just keep it away from the main series.

I'm actually a pretty big RE5 fan. I mean the co-op gets annoying at times but other than that I think it's a pretty good game. If people are waiting for a RE game to top RE4 they are going to be waiting along time IMO.

Nah, I haven't played it. You could say I'm basically not with the PS3/XBOX 360 times. I had a 360 for a little over a year but i ended up selling it. Left 4 dead does look pretty cool, but in this day age after experiencing Metroid Prime 3's jaw dropping pointer controls i could never go back to dual analog or Keyboard & mouse for any first person title ever.
BioShock Infinite on the other hand supports Move controls...So i might check that one out! As for Operation Racoon City, no thanks. lol
