Well, this will be interesting. What happens now that Wesker is outta the game? Story-wise, they better have a REAL good excuse of what will happen. I'd also hope that the T and G-virus would make a comeback (but it isn't).
More importantly though, they better bring back the survival horror aspects. Combine the survival horror (low ammo, driving players to curiosity, huge anticipation when progressing, etc.) with the convenient controls of the post-RE4 games. Using new characters is fine with me (or Rebecca), but they should be memorable like the others. Lastly, I wish they wouldn't have to use their MT Framework Engine and use Unreal Engine instead at 60fps and no motion blur. Shadows would also help the game bring more creep into it.
My expectations of the next Resident Evil game would be high, but I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom messed up.
It'll be our luck they'll screw with the formula so much it'll turn out like Devil May Cry. Have you seen what they did to Dmc 5? Oh please god don't let that happen to RE.

Just don't make running zombies. The scaryness of zombies comes from the fact that they remind us of death, and if they're running around like energetic madmen, the whole point is gone. Zombies should be slow and not intelligent in any manner.
Well even if the zombies are not coming back to RE6, at least there is that Operation Raccoon City to look forward t- [youtube:xUoY24UdEeU] Looks like Resident Evil turned into an L4D/CoD clone people. I hope RE6 stays away from this formula. Granted, I'm still buying the game, and it may be great, but I love Resident Evil for what made it great in the first place. Limited ammo, tight and tense situations, puzzle solving, etc.
Hey Wave, Have you tried L4D? The only reason I'm interested to an extent for Operation Raccoon City is that it bears some resemblance to the game. Who knows, it could be a great online experience... Just keep it away from the main series.
I'm actually a pretty big RE5 fan. I mean the co-op gets annoying at times but other than that I think it's a pretty good game. If people are waiting for a RE game to top RE4 they are going to be waiting along time IMO.
Fantastic! Looking forward to this. I enjoyed both RE4 and RE5 though like Waveboy it said it better have motion and pointer controls and hopefully it will come out for the Wii U.
