It's only the largest mobile title since Angry Birds, so yeah - it needs no explanation. The key to making a lot of money quickly in game is having a lot of friends to race against, which also amps the fun way up - so who's in?

@Slapshot It's weird but the wait times haven't bothered me at all so far. Repairing your car is instant, it's just the maintenance that takes time and if you have more than one car then it's not a problem.

Yep, me either. I spent a whopping $2.99 USD on the additonal BMW to stay within the starting brackets and to have an additional car to keep the wait times at bay. I support developers and wanted to drop $9.99 USD or more on the title, but all of those car packs opened up the higher/faster brackets - I'd rather race my way into them, than buying myself into them.
I actually enjoy the fact that the game forces me to race cleanly. I makes your adrenaline pump when you have to make that split second decision: do I brake and keep my position in this corner, or drop the pedal down on the apex - possible scraping an opponent - and gain one (or more) positions. I love the fact that the game has huge consequences. You know, in real life racing - the game's namesake - there are huge expenses for racing poorly. I think there is something to be said for that here.

@Slapshot Definitely agree with all that. I also appreciate how you can spin out and be smashed all over the place if you get knocked around too much in a group, lol. It's not perfect — I feel like it could feel smoother/less jerky when you go into a drift — but I'm having a blast with it.
A few tips for those who are just getting started:
Do not buy a second car in the same tier that you start in. You always want to advance forward in this game, not backwards - unless your spending your real cash, of course.
Race cleanly! I can't say this enough. It's called "Real Racing" for a reason. Big wrecks from reckless driving will send you to the paywall very quickly. Drive smooth, drive cleanly and you'll find yourself driving extremely fast lap times shortly thereafter.
Spend the $1.99 USD to get a additional car pretty quickly. This allows you to drive one car until repairs are necessary, then giving you the option to swap cars while your wait time cools down on the other car's maintenance. In short, the more cars you own, the more you can race.
This is a big one: find a control scheme that fits you (and your device) best. There are many options, so give 'em all a go.
Get away from the assists early on into the game. Yes, high braking assist keeps you from hitting cars, spinning out etc etc., but it's also slowing your lap times way (WAY) down. Turn them off and swap to a control method that allows you to accelerate/brake and steer. I personally use the full touch method on a my iPad, which I find works incredibly well.
Ignore all the F2P banter. Real Racing 3 is a fun game. It's free to allow everyone to give it a go, as well as to show off what the devices can do. Yes, the paywall is a bit annoying, but unless your wanting to play for 3+ hours a day, it isn't that big of a deal. I wish I had 3+ hours a day to play games!
See you on the track!
