Hey everybody!

Are there any PS1 classic's and/or PSP game's available for the PSVita? If so, digitally only right? And by "for the PSVita" i mean accessible by owning ONLY a psvita and not a PS3/PS4. After looking around on the internet i find myself even more confused than before because all that came up was something about downloading it on your Playstation 3 and transferring and what not.

Oh! And feel free to write down your tip for what game/games i should get for my upcoming Vita (i might buy it tommorow! yay!)
Thanks in advance!

If it can be downloaded to the PSP, there's a 98% chance you will be able to download it on a Vita too.

PS1 Classics and PSP games are available digitally on Vita, yes. Near the beginning of its launch, there was a compatibility issue and many games weren't available on the Vita, but that's mostly fixed. There's still many games not directly available in the PSN store on Vita, but if you have a PS3, you can download them on there and then transfer them over to the Vita with a USB cable.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can also log into your Sony Entertainment Network account from a PC and download games to your Vita from there as well. You just have to register the Vita to your account first.

If you don't own a PS3/PS4, you should Google a list of games available directly on the Vita PSN before committing to a buy. I didn't buy my Vita until every PS1/PSP game I wanted was available.

Yup!

As long as it can be bought digitally on the PSP, it is almost guaranteed that you will be able to buy it on your Vita too.

@CaviarMeths That's the thing, i cant seem to find a list that lists just that. I would love to be able to see beforehand which games are available directly from the Vita! You wouldnt happen to have the time to try and find one for me?

All the Resident Evils and Final Fantasies are available.

Castlevania SotN and Chrono Trigger too.

Strangely enough, the only Megaman X I could find was Maverick Hunter X.

@Morphbug So by buying a Vita i can own a digital copy of Symphony of the Night? (that alone is worth the purchase for me, having that on a handheld... omg)

Mega Man and the Chrono games are not released in PAL region. Everything else is. As for them being available directly on the Vita store, I don't know. My PSN account is NA. The Vita is region-free, but your PSN account isn't.

(You're PAL, right? I think I remember you mentioning being Swedish in another thread)

In dollars, they are either 5.99 or 9.99.

With the expensive ones being things like RPGS and stuff.

Oddly, both RE 2 and 3 are 5.99 but the first one is 9.99.

Found this on NeoGaf, but it's 2 years old and probably outdated: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=488838

No Symphony of the Night on that list, but I also found this: http://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/1wigd1/castlevania_symp...

Reddit thread from earlier this year that says that yes, Symphony of the Night is available on the Vita store.

Sorry I can't be much more useful than that. Paging @Peach64 I guess? Pretty sure she has a PAL Vita.

Thanks guys for the info! Last question, do you guys have a PS4? If so does these games (PS1 classics, not PSP games) exist on there? If so, i might have to reconsider even more as i am going to get a PS4 in the near-ish future.

He could always get a US account and buy the prepaid cards online, right?

Edit: no, I don't have a PS4, sorry.

PS1 classics won't work on PS4 due to architectural differences.
European prices of games seems to be 4 euros on the cheap side, 8 euros on the more expensive side (so basically, 8 euros for most of the stuff you want).

Best thread ever
Feel free to add me on Miiverse or PSN.

@moomoo Okay thats a shame (not really, i actually really want to buy a Vita but having PS1 classics etc is part of it.) The prices are what i expected and well worth it considering i dont own anything Sony atm. There's a plus too playing them on a Vita because they will look better on a smaller screen.

Thanks guys for all the info
