@shingi..... thanx for pulling up the tread as I was headed to do that myself. Congrats on the PSP. You will find a lot of cheap games that are a lot of fun and if you dont have Little Big Planet yet...... run to go buy it. Its incedible.

I picked up a second hand original psp with Christmas money this year. The psp was cheap & so are the games. I picked up an 8gb memory stick so that I can eventually fill it with ps1 classics & psp games. I like having games stored on a handheld, it's not so portable when you are carrying loads of games.
I got LocoRoco which I love, Lumines which I don't like as much as Meteos yet & Katamari which is killing my hands to play. Why design a console which hurts your hands to play?

Yep it does take some getting used to a bit, not unlike it did to play Guitar Hero DS PSone classics is basically all I play on my PSP. I just cant stop going back to them. Ive been playing Street Fighter Alpha like crazy again lately. But I did just get LBP and Patapon 2, both of wich are incredible.

I downloaded the Ad Hoc Party from the PSN store, and it actually worked with Dissidia Final Fantasy [but those people's lobbies were closed]. But, I have a few questions. Can I acess the PSN store via the Ad Hoc Party, or at least use it's online features at all besides playing my games online? Does the PSN versions of compaitable games work with Ad Hoc? Anyway, if anybody has Dissidia and Ad Hoc Party, let me know and we can try playing online.

Anyone care to comment on how good LBP is, particularly in comparison with its older brother? Still don't have a Go, but it's on my to-buy list once I've finished most of my backlogged games, which is fortunately not a terribly long list right now. Fewer planes of motion is definitely a plus to me. If they simplified the editor and fixed the weird physics, then I'd be quite happy.

The psp go is much more comfortable joe and didley and I think that you meant that you got an 8 gb memory stick

They don't make 8 MB memory sticks, so I think it was obvious he meant 8 GB...

Wait, am I right in saying they made LittleBig Planet for the PSP better? I might have to look into this. The PS3 version looked like it was too much of a chore.

I just got LBP Portable today, and so far I think it's pretty good. The single-player campaign is fun, but the level editor is a little too unwieldy. I've been trying to recreate World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros., but I can never keep the blocks in place, and I'm having trouble lining things up. The physics seem a little off too. Sorry Adam, but I think you're outta luck...

SwerdMurd

really didn't improve on the turbo floaty repetitiveness that was the original LBP...if that one didn't convert you, I doubt this one's gonna do much.

PSP has so many of these "almost great" games...truly a shame since the system's biggest strengths are still what it can be used for when hacked/custom firmwared....not what you can actually pay money to do with it.

EDIT - @ shingi - get God of War: Chains of Promathia. So much better than Hero of Sparta it's almost hilarious...Hero of Sparta is among the most monotonous, soulless clones ever created, despite the reasonably decent production values. 6.99 for HoS vs. 14.99 for GoW...and GoW has tons more playability (8 hour main quest (all dynamic, cinematic, and awesome) you will want to replay on harder difficulties, vs. 4-5 hour main quest with 4 mob types and 0 variety in quicktime events...and lousy control).

Sounds like good news to me. More reason to hold off on an expensive purchase!

I just tried the Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker demo, and WOW the demo is amazing! It is going to be so awesome when it comes out! Next month, two awesome games are coming out! Metal Slug XX [a PSP port of Metal Slug 7 with extra features, including two player co-op and DLC], and Lunar Silver Star Harmony [a PSP port of Lunar Silver Star]. I am so getting those games!

I have edited my post. I did mean 8gb but you are right anyway - it didn't last long. I wish I had gone for 16 or 32gb now.

I thought LBP was really fun but ended rather quickly. I haven't tried the ps3 version but I think the psp version is pretty faithful to it. I will probably not bother with making my own levels but the main sell for me was loads of community levels. I don't think enough people are bothering to make good levels yet though.

Umm, for many reasons. The game's graphics are amazing, best I have seen on the PSP yet. The controls are awesome, and it blows MGS Portable Ops out of the water. It is Metal Gear, so it is already awesome. You would just have to play the demo yourself, which I encourage everybody to do.

@Joe Diddley-Yeah, I have a 16 GB Sony memory stick and it works great. It can't hurt to have a bigger memory stick though. Sony really needs to increase the size of their memory sticks. I heard Sony is developing 40 GB memory sticks, but personally I think we need a way bigger memory stick for people wanting to download a ton of games.

Sounds good. I'll have to play it sometime.

Anybody know of any good Minis or PSN Exclusives I can get for 10 bucks or less? I was thinking of getting Tetris but I'm not sure if there's anything better, so IS there anything better?

Tetris Mini! And Zombie Tycoon! Savage Moon: Hera Campaign! That's all I can think of, though, but it's been a while since I checked. Is Badman still $10?

I hope they keep making PSP sequels to PS3 games, the Motorstorm and Resistance: Retribution demoes not only convinced me to get the PSP games, but they also made me want to try the PS3 ones as well.

@Cheezy-I think Crystal Defenders is $9.99, and it is so worth the money.
