I recently got a PSP after my brother found it in a bush and I was wondering what games I should get for it, as well as what accessories I'd need.

you'll need a Memory Stick for it if you don't have one already... stay away of the Sony brand for them, go for a SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Duo, they are faster and easier to tell if legit or not (specially the gaming ones), you can get an 8 GB one from Amazon for $40 or less (8GB gaming MSPD are translucent green).

Also, you should get Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, Jeanne D' Arc, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, Neverland Card Battles, and download demos for Patapon and Loco Roco (try those before buying just in case you don't like them).

Last but not least, you could get some PlayStation Network money to buy stuff like PSOne Classics, and some full PSP Games that might be hard to find for you.

Thanks for the advice. With Mega Man Powered Up, I already have the original Mega Man so should I still go for it or not?

Try Gurumin and Daxter as well. Both are great and fairly cheap nowadays. And listen to DarkG on the memory sticks. While I normally always go with first-party stuff, in this case, Sandisk is just so much better.

Yes, it might be worth it even if you own the original. It has extra features, and changed levels, as well as the original levels. you can also play with all the bosses, and make and download extra levels from PSN

Signature? Here? No way!

Mega Man Powered Up is fantastic. And do listen to them about using SanDisk and dont buy Sony like I did online because the stick are crap. You should also check out Prinny, Disgaea, and start downloading some PSone Classics.

Yes agreed prinny was awesome, as corbie would say it's "hard as nails". I got it for 10$ when the sale went on, but it's off now, and i would not pay 20$ for any psp game (unless it had box art and a manual of course, umd) Now only if a xbox 360 would appear in a bush...

SSX on Tour is a decent snowboarding title incase you're interested. If not, well, there are other titles out there [compilations, fighters, puzzlers, platformers, adventures, remakes, movies, and more...]

To each their own

Sony ones afe not as fast as SanDisk's, for the same speed, a Sont MSPD can cost a lot more... plus they aren't as reliable as the SanDisk ones, and counterfeit Sony MSPD are harder to identify as such unless you actually open and use them... SanDisk's gaming line comes color coded, and can be easily identified if it's counterfeit or not (counterfeits aren't translucent, or have the wrong color, or don't have the letter upside down when put on a PSP-x000)

Ok, I have a new problem. I'm trying to download some Demos from the Store and It won't let me, although it will let me download themes and wallpaper. It keeps saying that either

"An Error Has Occurred"
(80431075)

Or
"The Install Failed"
(80435061)

.
The demos I'm trying to get in particular are for Crystal Defenders and Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Can anyone help with this?

it might be because the battery is hacked or something like that, I can't get anything to work on my PSP related to PSN, which sucks.

You found it...IN A BUSH?!?! I know that most games on the PSP are bad, but man, that's just too cruel. Who would do such a thing to a handheld?

Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar.

What do you mean that the battery is hacked, and how can you tell?

Well, I to tell you the truth, I don't really know how to tell, certain things don't work if your PSP is hacked, for example I tried to log into my PSN account on my PSP and it said it required a system update, but the thing is that it was already at the highest version. Also I tried remote play and it didn't work either.
BTW Is there anything on you PSP?

Well, I do have the latest update, and the only things I've imported onto the PSP are some themes from the store.

.
EDIT
I've fixed it now. I forgot to activate the system under my PSN account settings. Thanks for the help though Dicesukeinuzuka

Try updating the PSP and see if it solves the problem, if it doesn't format the Memory Stick (from the PSP settings you can do that)

EDIT: I see it's fixed now lol

PS: A hacked PSP never has the latest firmware update, the hacked firmwares are always older (i.e. vulnerable ones). Hacking for homebrew isn't that wrong, for piracy, it's what has killed the PSP.
