I recently got a PSP after my brother found it in a bush and I was wondering what games I should get for it, as well as what accessories I'd need.

you'll need a Memory Stick for it if you don't have one already... stay away of the Sony brand for them, go for a SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Duo, they are faster and easier to tell if legit or not (specially the gaming ones), you can get an 8 GB one from Amazon for $40 or less (8GB gaming MSPD are translucent green).

Also, you should get Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, Jeanne D' Arc, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, Neverland Card Battles, and download demos for Patapon and Loco Roco (try those before buying just in case you don't like them).

Last but not least, you could get some PlayStation Network money to buy stuff like PSOne Classics, and some full PSP Games that might be hard to find for you.

Thanks for the advice. With Mega Man Powered Up, I already have the original Mega Man so should I still go for it or not?

Try Gurumin and Daxter as well. Both are great and fairly cheap nowadays. And listen to DarkG on the memory sticks. While I normally always go with first-party stuff, in this case, Sandisk is just so much better.

Yes, it might be worth it even if you own the original. It has extra features, and changed levels, as well as the original levels. you can also play with all the bosses, and make and download extra levels from PSN

Mega Man Powered Up is fantastic. And do listen to them about using SanDisk and dont buy Sony like I did online because the stick are crap. You should also check out Prinny, Disgaea, and start downloading some PSone Classics.

Yes agreed prinny was awesome, as corbie would say it's "hard as nails". I got it for 10$ when the sale went on, but it's off now, and i would not pay 20$ for any psp game (unless it had box art and a manual of course, umd) Now only if a xbox 360 would appear in a bush...

SSX on Tour is a decent snowboarding title incase you're interested. If not, well, there are other titles out there [compilations, fighters, puzzlers, platformers, adventures, remakes, movies, and more...]

Thanks guys, this is really helpful so far :)

I'm starting to feel like I've missed out on a lot over the last few years. I tend to stick to one or two consoles usually and focus on them as I'm encouraged not to buy too many consoles usually (For a number of reasons)

I was just as surprised as you guys when he said it was in a bush. It's my second free current gen console so far, (I won an Xbox 360 in a Pepsi competition around the last World Cup in '06). Must be lucky. Funny thing is that I'd actually been considering buying one when he found it. It also had a game inside it, Killzone Liberation but I haven't played much of it as I need to buy my own charger before anything else.

I will go for a Sandisk Stick, Didn't realise that Sony one were crap (What's wrong with them exactly?). With regards to games, I've been thinking about buying some of the Disgaea games for awhile so I'm interested in those, same with Daxter and the Ratchet and Clank series. Gurumin, I had a little play earlier at a friend's house and I thought it was great so that's definitely on my list. With SSX tour, my friend has that game so I'll give that one a try. I also had a try of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and a Syphon Filter game, which were both pretty good.

You can make your own levels? Nice one, I'll be buying this then :)

Sony ones afe not as fast as SanDisk's, for the same speed, a Sont MSPD can cost a lot more... plus they aren't as reliable as the SanDisk ones, and counterfeit Sony MSPD are harder to identify as such unless you actually open and use them... SanDisk's gaming line comes color coded, and can be easily identified if it's counterfeit or not (counterfeits aren't translucent, or have the wrong color, or don't have the letter upside down when put on a PSP-x000)

Ah, ok then. Thanks DarkG, you've been a great help :)

Dead serious, and it's in pretty good condition too. It's one of the older models (1003) but still, amazing find.

Ok, I have a new problem. I'm trying to download some Demos from the Store and It won't let me, although it will let me download themes and wallpaper. It keeps saying that either

"An Error Has Occurred"
(80431075)

Or
"The Install Failed"
(80435061)

.
The demos I'm trying to get in particular are for Crystal Defenders and Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Can anyone help with this?

it might be because the battery is hacked or something like that, I can't get anything to work on my PSP related to PSN, which sucks.

What do you mean that the battery is hacked, and how can you tell?

You found it...IN A BUSH?!?! I know that most games on the PSP are bad, but man, that's just too cruel. Who would do such a thing to a handheld?

Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar.
