No. The caption on the side of the picture states it's the PSP. (not PSP2)

I'll buy it more than likely. I've wanted a PSP and I've waited for a new one to be released before I bought one. PSPGo almost had me, but I didn't bite, thank God. 3DS first. PSP2 second.

I hope it impresses, I love my PSP more so than my DS, but it has had far and few games.

I am betting that Sony will implement the download system like they tried with the Go; except they will keep the disc thing. Also, I expect a fairly similar design to the PSP we have now, even if it was to just keep it's current identity (widescreen etc.). I expect little difference; maybe a different layout of buttons and on the UI, but I can't see anything big coming out of the functionality of the system.

This thread didn't even get to the second page before people started bashing Sony, lol. I would rather focus on the potential of the PSP2 because the 3DS doesn't interest me as it is now. A machine with less than a 5 hour battery life, 3 hour charge time, a small area of focus just to make the 3D work, and a lineup full of ports of games I already have is not worth anything over $149.

It's ok. Those people probably haven't even played a PSP.

The PSP2 should be a good console. Rumour has it that the screen resolution will be spectacular, and I'm betting the console will be download-only (a good thing for me).

If Sony can out-resolution the iPad, then it should be an amazing console. Not just for the games, but one of the hidden gems of the PSP was the comic shop (now with Manga!), and the higher the screen resolution for that, the better.

I'm excited for the next PSP system and I'm sure Sony has something amazing lined up. But for now we'll just have to wait and see.
