I really hope the games I want on it won't go up in price.
Anyone got any recommendations they wanna throw at me? Primarily exclusives please.

I personally recommend Persona 4 Golden, Tearaway and Tales of Hearts R.

There aren't a lot of exclusives, since many first party games got ported to the PS4, but Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice/Delta, Lumines: Electronic Symphony, Killzone: Mercenary, Wipeout: 2048, LittleBigPlanet Vita and TxK are all exclusives. The Vita version of Tearaway is also different from the PS4 for what I understand.

TxK is a digital only game that is very similar to Tempest 2000, and due to legal issues between Atari and the developer it probably won't leave the Vita.

Persona 4 Golden is more or less an exclusive. There's the PS2 version but the Vita remake has tons of new, extra content.

@Vinny Are there any other RPG or JRPG titles, with English text as an option, that are exclusive to the Vita or have content exclusive to the Vita (like the case of Persona 4 Golden)?

@theepictorkoal There's Tales of Hearts R, which is a remake of a DS RPG. The DS version was never localized but the Vita one was, though it's only subbed with no english dub.

And there's Muramasa: Rebirth. It's a metroidvania with nice combat and a leveling system. Some describe it as an action RPG, but I'm not so sure, i'd say it's a mix between genres.
The Vita has a brand new, more accurate translation than the original Wii version, but the extra Vita content is all DLC (new chapters and playable characters).

There's also Valhalla Knights 3, but I don't know much about this one.

Welp, time to start buying more vita games before prices get dumb.

Well the last vita game that had my attention is Stardew Valley and I kind of already bought that one.

Tis Sad. I kind of already bought all the Physical games I wanted for it, though. Really, Sony wasted what they had, if I'm being honest. Once again, it did better in Japan, but it just felt like they forgot about it. They treated it like a peripheral, and we all know their track record there, right? Good design, great UI, tons of potential at the time to rival the 3DS, and it still had plenty of great games...but it just wasn't gonna work out, I guess.

Bye bye ps vita. 😜
I don't even care about its existence.
Ps vita has NO Kawaii (Cute) games as 3DS has, so.... Sayonara ps vita.
I will always keep my eyes on 3DS games.

Oh, since no more ps vita softwares released anymore, i guess some developers want to port their ps vita games to Nintendo Switch to get profit from Switch sales. And i can feel if World of Final Fantasy, FF X & FF X-2 might have a chance to be ported to Switch. Well, let's hope so.

@Vinny Thanks for the suggestions. What I'm primarily looking for on the Vita currently are more turn based style RPG titles that are exclusive or have exclusive content for the Vita version. So this is a good start since I only had Persona 4 Golden on my list before today. I'm trying to get physical games for the Vita that match my preferences before they rise too much in price so now seems like a good place to start.

Not surprised tbh. It was a great piece of hardware (closest experience to console gaming on the go until the Switch), and I quite enjoyed mine, but Sony couldn't have put less effort into it. Here in the UK it's not been available to buy new for years (even on Amazon), and even in a big city you'd be lucky to find more than a couple of games on the shelves of a dedicated game store.

Eh. 9/10 of my library is digital anyway. It's just so nice not having to bother with carts when I want to play different games.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Well the article doesn’t say they will discontinue everything related to the vita... Just cartridge production.

I technically had a Vita since I bought a PlayStation TV, but I only had a few games for it, and never really used it that much. The lack of compatibility with certain games killed it for me. I have a feeling it was a last ditch effort to save the Vita.

@Anti-Matter

February 2019 is the final month for publishers to get their games on Vita game cards, and digital games will continue for the foreseeable future. The Vita isn’t completely dead yet....it’s definitely got one foot in the grave though.

That's at least 7 years at that point, way longer than I thought it would survive on the market lol.

@Anti-Matter Little Big Planet and Tearaway say hi. There's also Doki Doki Universe, Hatsune miku ( I don't like it but it's considered cute) , Digimon Cyber Sleuth, Gravity Rush, Monsterbag, Hokokum, Child of Light and probably more that I don't know.
