Yes, too bad. Also too bad that people don't realize there are legitimate reasons for region locking. It's not like the 3DS is the only console that's region locked.

Stop complaining and GO PLAY GAMES.

Everyone knows there's legitimate reasons for region locking: forcing people to buy the same hardware over and over again.

LoL that is slightly ridiculous Waltz. How many people actually do that? Certainly not remotely enough to make a difference to Nintendo.

I'm not suggesting that I wouldn't think it nice if the console was region-free. But nobody here seems to understand that Nintendo didn't region lock it just to make people complain.

Oh yeah, you're right. Nintendo has a rule that it has to be less user friendly than Sony. That way people want to buy Nintendo products more.

Good point.

I'm excited that Vita is region-free. Wish more hardware companies would do it. That or release all the same games in all regions. LOL :D

This thing will have MHP3 and Chrono Trigger on it day 1. It's already worth it.

The big advantge is having acces to all of the psp games through the store day one.

Also dont really care about the whole its as powerful as a pc. Most tablets, and smartphones are as powerful as your average pc also.

I had a go at this yesterday at Eurogamer Expo. Unfortunately the game I was designated was Little Deviants, which is nothing more than a tech demo for the touch screen, read touch pad and tilt functionality. The unit itself is great though, nice and light, great screen!

I went into the Vita developer session feeling indifferent about the Vita, but once they demo-ed LittleBigPlanet I was completely sold on the system. LBP Vita showed the kind of creativity and fun that Nintendo have lacked in recent years.

I loved Little Deviants. In fact, it was my favorite Vita game at E3. TONS of mini-games that make great use of the system's various control functions. :D

Answer This: How the hell do they fit a 5" OLED touchscreen into a handheld system? Sony's got power, man.

I would not be surprised if Sony puts up an update to region-lock games. Hope not for the sake of importers.

And yes, I do realize the PSP is region free too.
