What to get? Vita or PS3?

Is the battery life really 3-5 hours?

I'm pretty excited for both handhelds this generation, but both Nintendo and Sony seem to believe having a decent battery life is not a big deal for a handheld. It's ridiculous.

IGN says that Sony has an extended battery attachment accessory for it.

I want to wait for a blue or orange. Why does Sony and Nintendo do this? Show different colors of systems and don't release them ever except for 2 colors with 1 that was never shown (Misty Pink 3DS).

I liked the darker orange (below the somewhat bright orange) and the dark blue color at the very end. I'm surprised they are not bringing white along side the black.

EDIT: There's absolutely no reason for the Vita cases to be that big. Looks thin, which is fine. But really.. A case similar to the PSP in length/height would have been fine...

There's a White. I wouldn't get your hopes up on the different colors, though. They usually don't release much variety in the west.

Yeah, the usually release different colors in bundles (Red PSP with GoW Chains of Olympus, Electric Blue with Madden 09, Green with MGS Peace Walker). I can be patient though.

And when you say white, are you referring to the picture or that they will be releasing a white Vita?

Confirmed that the vita is region free. This makes me kinda mad at nintendo even more.

What was nintendo's reason for region lock?

Whoever designed that OS ui should be fired. Its cluttered and messy with with no unification with every app having a different look. In a tech world where all the major players and companys are planning for a unified system (ios,! Ndroid ics, microsoft metro ui) releasing something thats ugly and what doesnt match the ps3 xmb is a bad idea. Also with att also selling the xperia play what is the real benfit for them to push people in the vitas direction.
