Only 7 of those are first party I think, and 6 are ports. Compare that with 3DS Resident Evil & Megaman thats a huge difference.

Don't get excited, but I'm reading from some places that the list I posted is supposed to be the launch titles. I'll look into that some more and see whether or not that can be confirmed.

The Source was bugus, and everything else I'm finding are rumors and speculation. However, apparently Falcom, makers of the Ys series, will have a game at launch.

I know I don't expect all those games at launch at all. I'm thinking of getting Ruin,Gravity,Little Deviant and possibly Ridge Racer at launch but I take it some titles might be released later. Its not a smart business move to release all the top games at once.

I've gotta say--I think the reason I'm most excited about this next console generation is due to decent competition this time around. I think everyone knew that even at best, PSP was gonna take up a comfortable second place last generation. This time around however, it's not nearly as pre-decided. Whether or not you're into Sony's super polished games or Nintendo's super innovative games, I don't think anyone can deny that healthy competition is great for the industry and for the consumer. They'll compete and lower prices, they'll put out new and better games, etc. I'm jacked--hopefully the era of "why are these crappy old DS games still 35 bucks?" is over and Sony will force Nintendo prices to stay more realistically competitive.

The Vita looks interesting. I'm wondering how developers are going to include the rear touchpad into other games.

Brute force to begin with! Coming up with an intuitive and useful implementation of the rear touch pad is pretty hard. In my opinion it's better to not use it (or front touch, or motion controls) unless the gameplay/controls are actually enhanced by it.

The rear touch currently scrolls the screens around in the system menu and I find that it goes a bit loopy if I just rest the thing on my leg whilst typing on the PC.

@DiggerDan Watching GoodGame (Aussies gaming show) I saw a bit of LBP. Look's real great.

Those are just rumors. Sony never gave an official release date.

At lest we can pray that it comes out before Thanksgiving. Sony would be making a very bad decision to wait until December to release the PSVita.
