That's the problem despite claiming to have to intenion or intrest in the Xbox One/PS4 Waveboy and Mad Aussie Bloke can't help from trolling something their not intrested in. (Like most of the internet). It would be easier to take their opinions more seriously if they just said they didn't like newer games and had reasons to back up their opinions instead of the Juvenile retorts of everything non nintendo being poop like its a truthfact.
Yeah, I agreee. MAB is just joking around though (even if it does get a little overboared at times), and sometimes he does make a funny joke. I have no idea what he actually thinks of new games as he also loves to say bad new games are the greatest (like atari Et bad), but things just get plain rediculous when the two of then post together, Waveboy has even addmitted he does't know much about games on PS/Xbox so he knows he has nothing to back up anything he says, he is just wasteful humorless trolling here.
lol. A real first person enthusiast with a brain of the 'mother brain' variety should know that pointer controls are the definitive control scheme for the genre. Not twiddling your thumbs on a couple of clunky Mushroom sticks.
I can't see how pointer controls aren't the best scheme to play a FPS. I mean... you're pointing... as you'd do with a gun.
Pointer controls in a FPS don't work all that well mostly because nobody bothered to come up with an elegant way of implementing them. When you've got the Wiimote pulling double duty aiming and handling camera control it becomes a mess. There were some games that experimented with different ways around that but those were few and far between.

Seconded. Not so much that I hate anything non-Nintendo (though I absolutely detest Microsoft), it's more that I can't afford a whole extra console plus its library of games that I probably wouldn't enjoy anyway.
Plus, like me you would probably get a little overwhelmed with the amount of consoles/games you'd have to keep up with. 3DS retail titles, 3DS VC, 3DSWare, Wii retail , WiiWare, Wii VC, Wii U retail, WiiUWare & WiiUVC and whatever else you've got cooking that's either retro or non-nintendo related. That's already too much as it is, throwing in a PS4 or XBOX one would send your brain cooking on a trip to dimension X and you wouldn't be able to catch a late night flick with beautiful Betsy down the street at your local 5 & dine Drive in. Life's too short, the majority of videogames(I'd say 75%) these days outside of nintendo are so vastly overrated as it is. The PS4 and One's launch line up at least in my eyes look pretty damn boring. At this point i'm just intrested in what capcom's doing with the Resident Evil reboot.
Exactly, plus unlike many others on here I've only been seriously gaming for a few years, so I've got lots to catch up on concerning retro and recent games on 1st party Nintendo stuff alone, nevermind anything else.

WASD movement and raising then dropping and dragging your mouse over and over again to change direction in significant degrees is far harder to get used to than a simple stick and pointer device, IMO.

They could technically probably have PS Eye Kinect like controls, too.

I wouldn't take it too seriously. At least PS4 still supports those at least, somewhat.
The lack of support for those options on PS4 is exactly why I would opt for a Wii U and an Xbox One combined.
GamePad default, more Wii remote support, and then Kinect vs. PS Eye, Move, and PS Vita.
If Sony supported all those things more, I'd probably choose PS4 ONLY, because it technically has what both Nintendo and Microsoft have on both their systems, besides the exact same titles.
EDIT: It's a double edged sword when it comes to the PS4, while the Wii U and Xbox One are single edged swords. That's the way I look at it.
Geomagnetic sensors can take place of camera remote tracking, and the camera itself is better if it isn't designed to track remotes.
With the way Sony handles its options, we'll probably never see what anything Sony puts out can actually do.

Well, there are maybe few examples of the good use of pointer controls because there weren't many FPS on the Wii. I still think they're the best scheme for playing this type of games, MP 3 convinced me of that. And for the record, I've also played ohter shooters on Xbox360 and PC. I actually feel better with 2 analog sticks than with a mouse and a keyboard.
Going on topic, well, I guess I won't buy neither a PS4 or a XboxOne this year... nor the next one. I may buy a PS4 in about 3 years or so.

@Sony_70 I still don't see anything that I can't already play on my current systems... I could drag my PS2 out of the garage (I think it's hiding under a box of old Xmas decorations from 2003) for a much more robust gaming experience
Really like how smooth and fast the Xbox One OS seems to be.
aesthetically speaking its my favorite of the three next gen consoles with the Wi U coming in second. Really not feeling the PS4 blue or how cluttered it seems. I will say the Wii U OS (or at least the home screen) Really only works when its on the gamepad.
