@WaveHeadOne To sum up the XBone controller 'designed by a FPS enthusiast for losers that play FPS 24/7'. Sounds like we know what genre will dominate on that system... Just like the generations before ;)

Anyway, driving on now.

lol. A real first person enthusiast with a brain of the 'mother brain' variety should know that pointer controls are the definitive control scheme for the genre. ;) Not twiddling your thumbs on a couple of clunky Mushroom sticks. ;) I honestly wouldn't be surprised if every XBOX One: Obese lazy gamer edition came packed with a bottle of sizzling Mountain dew & Halo edition Ranch doritos ;) .

Seriously, where's Sega when you need them? At least their new console would be worth playing since they actually have fun franchises under their belmont belts like Streets of rage and....um. Oh! and speaking of SOR. ;)

ew, i would gladly take dual analog over this effortless cheap control scheme. With this archiac setup, grannies can pull head shots off in their sleep. ;) I'd rather have a simular feeling to actually holding a gun. Pointing at the screen with the wii remote is far more natural, and more immersive and intuitive to boot. All that's missing now is a VR helmet and the latest MadAussieBloke Smello-Jello Vision.. ;)

I can't see how pointer controls aren't the best scheme to play a FPS. I mean... you're pointing... as you'd do with a gun.

Metroid Prime 3 changed my world. :* It made me Wii in my Smurf panties. No seriously, i've said this countless times but what a game changer that was. Absolutely Mind blowing control scheme, to a genre i was never a big fan of to begin with because it was limmited to 2 previous control schemes that just didn`t feel right to me. If you didn't experience MP3 on an SDTV Tube CRT(which has zero lag) then you haven't experience the amazing fluid pin point accuracy that wii pointer controls provide in this particular title when set to 'advanced' What an experience....I`d love to get my hands on the MP Wii trilogy just so i can play through the original again with pointer controls and finally get a chance to play Echoes.

Yep, holding a gun never felt as natural as sitting at a bench strumming a QWERTY keyboard while sliding a ball over a rubber mat half immersed until something like this pops up on that gnarly small screen ;)

I know, I played it the same way (on a 28" SDTV). Luckily, last month, I got a copy of MP Trilogy for about 40 bucks and I'm ready to get my mind blown again. B-)

That's the problem despite claiming to have to intenion or intrest in the Xbox One/PS4 Waveboy and Mad Aussie Bloke can't help from trolling something their not intrested in. (Like most of the internet). It would be easier to take their opinions more seriously if they just said they didn't like newer games and had reasons to back up their opinions instead of the Juvenile retorts of everything non nintendo being poop like its a truthfact.

And who said we didn't like newer games? We're just ripping on a large chunk of titles that are in dejavu limbo in this stale state of the industry that we're currently stuck in. Nintendo's no angel either, look at it's predictable and safe line up on the horizon. cough, Super Mario 3D World, DK: Tropical Freeze, rinse repeat. I'm still excited because i love nintendo games, they make the best games in the biz period... but i can't help but feel somewhat underwhelemed with their lack of bold risks, they are at an all time low as far as the Wii U is concerned with their safe sequals. The Wonderful 101 gets props however for at least doing something fresh. ;)

If you read the title of this thread 'PS4 vs XBone' the whole topic started off childish to begin with... It doesn't matter what console you choose, they both have exactly the same hardware and games ;)

Yeah, I agreee. MAB is just joking around though (even if it does get a little overboared at times), and sometimes he does make a funny joke. I have no idea what he actually thinks of new games as he also loves to say bad new games are the greatest (like atari Et bad), but things just get plain rediculous when the two of then post together, Waveboy has even addmitted he does't know much about games on PS/Xbox so he knows he has nothing to back up anything he says, he is just wasteful humorless trolling here.

Pointer controls in a FPS don't work all that well mostly because nobody bothered to come up with an elegant way of implementing them. When you've got the Wiimote pulling double duty aiming and handling camera control it becomes a mess. There were some games that experimented with different ways around that but those were few and far between.

Seconded. Not so much that I hate anything non-Nintendo (though I absolutely detest Microsoft), it's more that I can't afford a whole extra console plus its library of games that I probably wouldn't enjoy anyway.

Plus, like me you would probably get a little overwhelmed with the amount of consoles/games you'd have to keep up with. 3DS retail titles, 3DS VC, 3DSWare, Wii retail , WiiWare, Wii VC, Wii U retail, WiiUWare & WiiUVC and whatever else you've got cooking that's either retro or non-nintendo related. That's already too much as it is, throwing in a PS4 or XBOX one would send your brain cooking on a trip to dimension X and you wouldn't be able to catch a late night flick with beautiful Betsy down the street at your local 5 & dine Drive in. Life's too short, the majority of videogames(I'd say 75%) these days outside of nintendo are so vastly overrated as it is. The PS4 and One's launch line up at least in my eyes look pretty damn boring. At this point i'm just intrested in what capcom's doing with the Resident Evil reboot.

Exactly, plus unlike many others on here I've only been seriously gaming for a few years, so I've got lots to catch up on concerning retro and recent games on 1st party Nintendo stuff alone, nevermind anything else. :p

Also, at least MAB's trolling is just good-natured ribbing. Many comments I seen elsewhere against Nintendo however...
