hello, i was playing my ps3 on thursday when it froze up, when i turned it back on, it did that save data check thingy to make sure the data isnt corrupted, but guess what, that ALSO froze, now i had to boot up the ps3 in safe mode and choose option 3, restroe save data, and its been showing me the ''preparing please wait'' screen for the past 5 DAYS, i know its not frozen cause the loading icon still animates, so what do i do!?

Contact Sony, I don't think this is normal, I'm not even sure you will be playing on that PS3 again. I think it's been last resort time for a while now.
Well, you could buy a Wii U.

You could always use another.
But yeah, you need to contact Sony ASAP. Systems shouldn't even run for five days, let alone run badly.

I don't think a company like Sony takes holidays off for it's entire support, these companys don't close during Christmas, I think you should go ahead and contact them.
