The guys at Valve seem to think it's their best ever game. Which considering they made Half Life 2 is quite something. There is no way this game can fail - more of the same fantastic formula which includes as you say, humour, but with a few new mechanics as well... great!

Yeah, I think new mechanics are necessary. A rehash of the first game won't do.

Also I read rumours that there will be multiplayer. o: Physics insanity impending!

Portal 2 will be a good game, sure.....but I'd rather have Episode 3.
Now.

Maybe bundle with The Orange Box 2 if they even make one?

It's been said that Portal 2 is going to be a full price game this time, and TF3....seems highly unlikely, at least for the next 1-2 years.

I read that Episode 3 wont come out in 2010, and I also read that it is possible that Valve will just go straight to making Half Life 3, or, even worse, stop the series altogether.

What we need is Garrys Mod 2.

I don't really think CS needs a sequel. They could actually update CSS, but enough people play 1.6 that a sequel would be unnecessary.
