So, who's hyped for PORTAL 2?!?! I certainly am. It's hard not to be hyped for a sequel to one of my favorite games. I just gotta wait for the April version of Game Informer. The Anticipation is killing me!

The fiercely independent studio is investing more time, more capital, and more risk into a stand-alone, full-price retail release.

I hope it still works as a full-length title. One thing I loved about the original game was its small scope: no other humans in the game (just the lovable talking turrets of course), a small set of well-designed levels, and a story that unfolds slowly but menacingly through your only companion, the voice of the computer.

FINALLY. Portal 2 will be the game of the year.
(I`m gonna have to partition my comp.)

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?

@warioswoods I agree. I'm not sure if a lengthy Portal-like game would work, especially the two player (presumably co-op) mode that Game Informer also told us about. However, I do feel that it will be ultimately be good and worthy of the Portal name.

I'm guessing the co-op is going to be separate from the single player. Overall, not sure what to expect, which is going to make it even better.

Awesome. The original is one of my all time favorite games, so I can't wait for this.

You shouldn't have done that.

I'm reposting what Swiket put on my other thread about the new achievement in the original Portal.

I just finished reading the entire article via those scans, and all reservations I had have now been put aside. It sounds like a truly worthy sequel. I'm particularly happy with the way they've decided to handle the addition of characters; not humans, which to me wouldn't fit, and not just GLaDOS again, which would be a retread, but many different, varyingly eccentric personality-modules, each of which has now taken over its own part of the facility. I always loved those things at the end of the first game ("Ooh, what's that? That thing has numbers on it.").

@warioswoods I gotta agree with you. It looks like Valve isn't trying to revolutionize Portal's gameplay as much as give us more of what we want (test chambers, oddball/creepy characters, and atmosphere).

I'm thrilled that Portal 2 will be the first major Valve release to hit OS X and PCs simultaneously. The real loser, I suppose, is Codeweavers (makers of Crossover Games, which many like myself have been using to run Portal on a Mac).

@Swiket I want to LOL at that, but it has a unfortunately good chance of happening.

Anyone here get the new issue of gameinformer? It was about Portal 2.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?

@Chucko That's the whole point I made this thread. How can people NOT be excited for Portal 2? Well, some people could've not liked the original, which wouldn't make them care for the sequel, but bad thoughts = not good.

Ok? Anyway Portal 2 is gonna be great. And it`s even greater that it will be on mac, so more people can play it. Anyone here have steam accounts?

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?
