I'm quite keen to get a PS2 at some point, if only to play Shadow of the Colossus. I just can't justify buying a new system at the moment.

Also, I know that as soon as I get a PS2 I'll start looking at all the great games for it, and before I know it I'll have some huge collection that I won't be able to justify.

Should I go for a $25 slim wih hookups two controllers and a game?

I'd say that's worth the risk. Doesn't sound like it comes with a controller, does it? If not, though, that'll only set you back about $20.

You could sell the cables + Controllers for more than what he's asking. Just buy it.

I absolutely LOVED my Playstation 2. Good times.

Kingdom Hearts basically dominated what I played, but I borrowed and rented a variety of different games.
If only my PS2 didn't break...

I still play snake eater atleast once a year. I love my PS2 and still buy games for it consistently. i really hope Sony can capture that magic again

It was a terrible article, too. Not only can you get Sly Cooper in 3D on the PS3 already, it's a Sony-owned franchise.

Crash Twinsanity wasn't very good, and I don't see it getting any better on the 3DS with less buttons and no second stick.

Final Fantasy XI takes up 15 GB on my Hard Drive. No freakin way could they make that a downloadable title for the 3DS.

Why Tourist Trophy of all games? If you really think the 3DS needs racing games, why not Burnout or...anything that's not Tourist Trophy.

Spyro The Dragon is the only good suggestion he made here, and the only one where he makes a good point. Heck, he should've just done the entire freakin' article about just Spyro, because there are plenty of ways it could actually work...

BTW, all his porice points were unreasonably low.

so don't ask why but i found two used playstation 2 consoles in one box. no cables or controllers. just the consoles.

i went to a used-games store but the owner told me he has no interest in those and he didn't have any cables for me to test them. now i still don't know if they still work or might be broken.

i will try to find the neccessary cables so i can test them, might even buy some used on the interwebs.

any great games you can recommend? because i can not think of many good exclusives. there is a reason why i had the original xbox back in the day and still own one now.
people always say shadow of the collosus is great so i might try that, but what else is there? now don't say ico. not wanna hold a button all the time so that stupid npc won't run away and get killed...

i'm just not into that stuff!

mgs 2 and 3 are not exclusive and i already played them of course, cause i freaking love mgs! i might look into katamari though.
