Your first? Get Star Wars Battlefront II, Timesplitters 2, Final Fantasy XII and Soulcalibur 3. Those are some of my favorite games, still play them. All of them are multiplayer except Final Fantasy.

Forgot about those. Granted they all have better versions on Nintendo systems...except maybe Snake Eater, but then you should try for the Subsistance version with the bonus disc.

I would definitely recommend Resident Evil 4. Since PS2 also plays PS1 games, I would say to get Resident Evil Director's Cut too. The Kingdom Hearts games are pretty fun, although KH2 is a little bit boring at times.
The Dark Cloud, Monster Rancher, Timesplitters, and Devil May Cry series are all worth a look. If you like RPGs there are a ton on the PS2 Dragon quest VIII and the Wild Arms series are a couple great turn-based ones. You should really try to track down some of the PS1 games too, though some like Legend of Mana can be pretty pricy.
The PS2 is a great console, easily one of the best.

Don't listen to him. Pick up RE4 on Wii/HD version (Wii if you want remote) because they are the best versions of the game.
Also, find a copy of REmake.
REmake >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Director's Cut. and directors cut is amazing

And can you go a little faster?!
You can have mine for free I will even pay for the postage it might need a good clean to remove those unsightly cobwebs and the dust is probably fused into the plastic now... Need to make space for the WiiU
It may get boring after 15 hours, but that's still 15 hours. And I can guarantee that those hours will be worth your time.
