I can't state how good these guys' games are.
On monday I started Vanquish and... finished it. What a game. One of the best I've played. Perfect controls, very fun and exhilarating gameplay, great graphics and sound... the only con, its duration, is not. The game benefits of its limited length (although it is true that I wouldn't be happy about it if I had pay 70 € but at least it is very replayable thanks to the points system).
On top of that awesome game they've also done the perfect beat'em up, Bayonetta, and the very fun and funny MadWorld.
Am I hype with them? Yes but rightfully so.
What do you think about their games? Haven't played them? Go buy'em now!!

I've not played all of Platinum's work but Mad World was awesome but a bit too short. W101 was good but the camera was a bit 'unplatinum'. Bayonetta 1 was good. They seem to be one of the few developers other than Nintendo's that can consistently get tight analog controls.
Platinum Games is one of those companies that confuses me that they aren't bigger than they are. Hopefully working with both Konami and Nintendo means that will change.
I don't really like Kamiya's twitter attitude, but I can't deny that they make awesome games. They remind me of 90's SEGA in that they greenlight the most ridiculous ideas and still make them awesome somehow. So naturally they work with SEGA a lot XD
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
TBH I do like PG (& Clover) but it generally seems more that I like the ideas of the games rather than the games themselves even if they are really great ones.
