Topic: Ouya? Who's got one?

Back around August/September my wife & i bought an Ouya. I was all hyped up on the idea of console like Android games finally being on a console to play on my 50 inch tv. We seeked one out at a local Best Buy ,and they didn't have any on the shelf. After arguing with an associate he went in the back ,and found us one of the two they had hiding back there.

I eagerly brought it home ,and hooked it up. Within the first week ,or 2 of having it i bought a few games on it like Shadowgun, Bards Tale,Knightmare Tower,Pizza Boy,Giana Sisters ,and Heroes of Loot. Later on i made a friendship with one of the guys at Tasty Poison Games ,and i got a copy of Neon Shadow for the system through them.

I even fell in love with a developer called Locomalito for some of the truly free games he put on the system like Vermin Trap, and Matilia Castilia.
I also tried a bunch of great games that i hadn't bought yet like Deep Dungeons of Doom, Gunslugs, Heavy Recoil, Pocket RPG, Wraithborne, and etc. I even got some really cool stuff like Gunman Clive, Dead Trigger, and Bean's Quest to sideload.

Now i bought a Wii U along with having a bunch of stuff on my PS3 ,and i find myself not even touching the Ouya. I have limited HDMI ports on my TV ,and right now my cable box, PS3, and Wii U have them which has made me less likely to jump into the system.

Although the biggest barrier for me lately with it is the fact that theres almost nothing good coming out for the system ,or that i haven't already tried. Killing Floor came out ,but it looks like nothing more than a CoD Zombie game in a top down perspective. Soul Fjord comes out at the end of the month so i may fire it up to try that. I just been watching the Ouya releases for a month now ,and there's barely anything that has come out that has made me go "wow i need to fire up the Ouya to play that."

I feel like i wasted a 100 bux on the thing that could of went towards buying a 2DS ,or more games for the Wii U.

Anyone else have this thing?

I feel like such a bad guy when I say this but... whenever I hear or see someone mention the Ouya... I immediately erupt into laughter.
That console was NOT planned well.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Thought about getting one for a while. At $100, the barrier of entry is low enough that it only needed a couple really good games and Netflix streaming for the cost to be totally justified. There are a couple of good games... but Netflix never arrived and I have to admit I'm glad to have not purchased an Ouya.

Unlike most people I'm not really down on the console - but unless you like messing with the console and have some development ambition it's probably not worth the effort. Even if that does describe you then there is very little that Ouya offers over a PC environment anyway. So... yeah.

What is so bad about the Ouya?
It seems to get hated a lot.

Lots of mobile game ports, pretty much no real AAA support, and tons of bad freemium stuff. I don't really have any experience with it myself but those are the most common things I see.

I wanted to get one just for towerfall, but it seems the game is going to release on ps4 and pc. But I would probably want it for some games or other things.
