Hey guys, I bought a PS3/Killzone 3 bundle roughly a week and a half ago. I also bought Final Fantasy XIII and Fallout 3. I'm enjoying all of them so far, particularly Fallout, and plan on getting a lot more games in the coming weeks and months. My PSN ID is johnboy424. Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I'd be here from time to time.
yay! Another Sony player! I'll add you to my friends list - so expect an invite from monkeybear2001.
Then I'll riddle your broken body with bullets in Killzone (not really, I suck at that game, but I enjoy playing it).
Nier and Resonance of Fate come in tomorrow! And I still have to get Legend of Mana and Parasite Eve off PSN...and I still have to finish Vagrant Story! When did PS3 get so awesomely full of desirable content?

Hey, I was wondering. Did anyone else get an email from PSN saying that there's new Terms and Conditions and User Agreements and all that crap? Just wanna make sure it's not phishing,
Yeah, I got one of those emails too. It seems really suspicious to me. I would refrain from clicking that link and entering your password. If it really is Sony then chances are that you will receive a notification regarding this supposed new contract on your PS3 through an official update.
I hope you enjoy that game! I certainly did (although I still need to finish off the final boss).
I like it a LOT so far! =D I just beat the first boss and now I have to deal with the shifting roles thing and I haven't got the hang of it. >_<
EDIT: And how the hell can people say the beginning is slow and boring?? I was expecting nothing but tutorial and killing weak monsters or something but it starts out in a freaking battlefield! Twilight Princess, now that game is the king of boring tutorial opening hours....

@Stro - i got the email too...it was all plain text, came from a weird source, and asked me to click a link and enter my account info/password...I saved the email and plan on contacting Sony directly about it later. It definitely asked for personal info and didn't seem above-board. Why would Sony need my password anyway--via email?
@Popy - dude amen. I was so engaged from the opening hours just cause of how awesome the entire opening area was. I was so stunned-by-eye-candy I didn't have time to breathe until I killed the first boss/gained the Crystarium grid/role-shifting. 3 weeks and 70ish hours of gametime later? Game = beaten.
Something important to keep in mind that the game doesn't teach you--there's a "perfect" way to role-switch. If you switch your party's roles right as your main is finishing the last move in his combo (the last little rectangular section) you'll have a full ATB bar as soon as you're done with the role switch instead of having to wait for it to fill back up. In this fashion you can juggle enemies between COM-RAV-RAV and RAV-RAV-RAV (or something similar) to combo super-quickly with the added bonus of getting turns faster. Later on in the game (once you have 6 ATB section w/ ever char) it becomes essential. <3 that game.
If you're already into it, the game has nowhere to go but up You'll love it.
@Fuzzy - it's kinda weird... Overall it's pretty fun (and a lot better if you have a second player to dull the battle monotony) but definitely a far cry from Secret of Mana....a little closer to Seiken Denetsu 3 battle-wise, but a wholely different experience overall. Hope you like it!
Yeah I hope Sony issues some type of "Hey guys-sorry some sketchball wrote that email" follow-up soon cause I don't like how far-reaching it seems to be.

@Swerd - Secret of Mana is one of my favourite games, so I'm excited about playing another Mana game. I've kept my expectations in check, as I know it probably won't be as good, but for $6 I can't really go wrong. That's less than half of what I have to pay for a N64 VC game over here!
Guys, guys, guys. The best news all week, no, month! An English translation of one of the Japan-only Wizardry games is headed to the US, courtesy of XSEED!
About time Wizardry emerged from the grave in the West. It's remained so popular over in Japan.
