Thanks, I'm picking it up right after I finish Valkyria Chronicles and Arkham Asylum then.
There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore

Can't wait! The PSOne had an epic lineup of RPG's and this is one of the best ones.
The Kings Field games are on the Japanese PSN for download - all three are utterly brilliant. I'm so lucky my partner is Japanese and has a Japanese credit card.

She translates games for you too? If not, this should still come as a pleasant surprise. Paying for the same game twice though sucks..

I know enough Japanese I can translate for myself.

Figured as much, you have a solid list of PS1 titles to play then. The US/EU store pales in comparison :/

Firaag brought it up not too long ago. Apparently he and I are the only other ones looking forward to it. Looks like a great game, though, and just up my alley. Plus, $10 is a steal considering what it usually goes for on the second-hand market.

@WaltzElf: I don't have Trophies in Puzzle Quest. As you say, that game has no Trophies. I DO have Trophies in Puzzle Quest: GALACTRIX, however. Which, by the way, isn't particularly worth the $20 they want for it.
As for Magic Carpet: Is it really that good? It just released on the American PSN last Thursday, but I'm skeptical about its actual quality. I read the one user review on GameFAQs, but the text of the review didn't match the perfect score it gave, so I can't really trust it.
Re: Grandia. Sounds pretty sweet to me! I've never played it, mostly because it's kinda pricy to get a disc nowadays. The $10 download fixes that problem quite nicely.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

That sucks. I am loving Puzzle Quest, but Galactix (which I had on DSi) was woeful. I'm not buying it for trophies
As for Magic Carpet - I have the game on disc still. I also have the PC original but unfortunately PCs are too fast for the game these days
It's pretty much my favourite retro game. Visually it's obviously very simple by today's startards - a very rudimentary 3D world with 2D sprites for characters, but the gameplay itself is awesome. Flying around a open world, killing stuff with magic in a very arcade-style FPS is just plain fun. I was seriously tempted to download it as well, simply to show support for the franchise and hope EA resurrects it in glorious HD.
Also, I have discovered that I really like Dante's Inferno. From what I've read, it's the start of the game that is the good part, but I'm loving the atmosphere, the combat system, and the concept of being in hell. God of War clone or not, it's good, unwholesome fun.
Also, got my first Star Ocean trophy! I've now got 1% of trophies, after 2 1/2 hours play. This is going to be a long dig... great game though - very similar to Star Ocean 3 on the PS2, which I played some 200 hours of.
@WaltzElf.... dude you have so sparked some intense curisoty on this Magic Carpet game, think Ill be downloading it tonight to take to the doctors office tomorrow lol. New chance to play a cool old retro game I missed is awesome. As for Dantes Inferno.... screw the reviews as they can only go so far to the truth and of course EVERY one of them compares it God of War as usual. I want to play it and Darksiders myself.
Grandia is AWESOME, if yall havent played it, buy it.
So, this local video store chain is closing in my hometown and my wife stopped by tonight and not only did she bring home some killer Star Wars Bobblehead Collectibles to add to my growing collection of everything Boba Fett and Sith lol, but she also told me to stop by tomorrow as they had a few PS3/DS games on the cheap and said one was "aegea 3 or something for like $10 bucks" my guess is Disgaea 3 and if it is Im getting it to play sometimes well maybe next year lol.
..... oh she also grabbed Heavy Rain

Good move - I really, really rate Magic Carpet as a genuine classic. It's a big game too - 50+ levels will take you literally hours to complete, especially considering how difficult later levels get (and I'm talking real hardcore difficult - they'll make you cry). It just requires you to get past the primitive 3D graphics. But even then, primitive as they are, I never found the game offensive or ugly.
Dante's Inferno isn't original. I know that. It steals ideas left right and centre from God of War. But it executes them really well, and it has something God of War doesn't - Hell, and the mythology of hell to draw on. I personally find that more interesting (by far) than Greek-style mythology.
Yes, it's brainless, but also great fun. It and Star Ocean are definately going to tide me over until FFXIII.
Also, there's an expansion DLC coming that will come with online co-op. If anyone else gets the game, I'll be happy to play.
@slapshot Disgaea 3 @ 10$, doesn't get much better than that. Great game, very niche though so it's not for everyone. The writing is simply hilarious and random .

Infamous and Soulcaliber 4 are musts. Probably added more hours into those than most non-Brawl Wii games combined.
BTW, be sure to add xnintendorkx on PSN when you get an account.
