Topic: Old Characters Could use some reviving

i'm talking about some of Rares most best characters and sonys best like for rare example Perfect Dark Series Banjo Kazooie Conker and for Playstation well Sly Cooper The Racoon and Spyro and many many others some of these games were great platformers but everyones moving on to new stuff like god of war InFAMOUS KillZone and etc. I mean don't get me wrong those are good games but, why aren't some companys going back to the old series games like those anymore there hasn't been a conker since i believe Conkers Bad Fur Day and Sly Cooper dates back to the PS2 around 5 years ago i mean come on what do yall think would be a good series that Microsoft or Sony should bring back to there console for some fans?

Agreed. Rare has so many great icons that need sequels rather than remakes.

Crash Bandicoot needs to be in Sony's hands again. you know when he was actually rally good and not so-so. Same for Spyro.
Shadow of the Collosus needs a sequel very badly. That game destroyed

As for Microsoft, well they don't have any good series besides Halo and they made too many of them and anyways they're very overrated.

Nuts and Boltz Ugh....that imo was not a B&K game its not like the old style kind it was platforming not going around making airplanes and stuff and flying all around the stages thats a little too much for a kid cause after all think about it not many adults play Banjo Kazooie. think about this you have to make the boat or airplane from scratch and think about putting this in some kids hands they'll be like i just wanna play the game not make stuff... ya know what i mean? i mean hate me if you want but Banjo and Kazooie before nuts and bolts was a platformer not a making game the machines you had in the games before were already made but again thats my opinion.

Sonic. I know he is still around, but if SEGA keeps him like this, then I don't want him around.

I was never a fan of Spyro, but apparently a lot of people were, so that.

The only way Rare is going to get their act together is if they go back to Nintendo. Now before ranting on about how I'm a fanboy, here are my reasons:

1. Nintendo consoles seems like the only place where Rares games really fit. think about it. Does yellow-short-wearing-bear-who-caries-a-backpack-that-has-a-bird-inside scream Microsoft and/or Sony to you? Exactly.
2. Rare also knew how to make Nintendo's characters feel like Nintendo's characters (DK64). And with Retro sorta leaving Nintendo, Nintendo needs another big-name 2nd party developer.
3. As of right now, many people who are actually SMART consider the Wii to be an experimental and casual platform, which means that Rare could experiment with how to make an actual Banjo-Kazooie game (Nuts and Bolts doesn't count) and try to introduce Banjo-Kazooie to new audiences, which should be easy because IT'S ONE OF THE BEST AND CRAZIEST IDEAS OF ALL TIME!!!

Before i was introduced to the wonderfulness that is The Legend of Zelda, the Spyro games where by far my favorite games. The original 3 spyros were and still are amazing games that any self respecting platformer loving gamer should play. There have been like 3-4 games since the orignal 3 but they all sucked really bad. what we need is a return to the old formula and to resotre that series to the greatness it once was.

@V8 Ninja.... dude your not getting any negative vibes from me. I agree... Rare needs to publish for Nintendo platforms again. Its crazy they could publish good games a LOT cheaper on the DS. We need more DK Country 2D platformers.

Crash Bandicoot is just plain missing on PS3 and it makes me very sad Naugty Dog please....... now that your done with Uncharted 2 can you at least think about it and please think about 2 and Warped when you make a new one cause those are the best.

Sega is trying game after game inducing us that the next game is "the return to the roots."
Project NeedleMouse seems the most near that sega can do about the "return".
It's their last chance, after that there is no way back, if anything goes wrong there is no way to bring sonic from the grave. Zombie forever...
(On the other hand "Sonic Retro" is growing, Sonic 2 HD is showing that, if there is a sure Sonic's comeback it's at their hands.)

Well Sega got rid of Camelot, and now they are with Nintendo. So I doubt Shining Wisdom/Force will be revived

Zero chance of Shining Wisdom 2 I would say, but I doubt they would need Camelot Sega stills owns the Shining series, in any case I think its safe to say it just plain wont happen, just some wish of mine.
