Topic: Oh great, just grea- Nintendo has corrupted Sony....!

Still KDR makes an interesting point about how niche UGC is in the market and we know how hyped it is by the media. Good read.

Nothing against UGC, but I think there is more smoke than fire there, but good for those who love it....

If you don't like a game don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to buy these games. On the other hand these games are selling so clearly there are some people that see value in it even if you don't.

Remember when Nintendo announced that there would be a Virtual Console on the Wii? The gaming parts of the internets pretty much turned themselves inside out. I lost count of the number of people who quite literally said that they had been Nintendo fans since long ago and this particular move had "forced them" to disown them. "Nintendo have made me buy these games three times already, I am NOT going to have them force me to buy them again". I mean really... what the hell?

Then later on the dust settled and you know what? people actually like the Virtual Console. They like it to the point that they are demanding it for the DSi which is probably something that has never been Nintendo's intention. However, even with that in mind, people are now having a go at the "New Play Control" games for the exact same reasons. I mean really people don't you get it? These games have a market, people want to buy them. So grow up and get over it.

Its a joke topic ok skywake! - just applying the 'morals' of this board by some againt the NPC to the 'NGD'...

You should have seen this coming. The analogy doesn't quite fit with this and NPC, anyway, since this is just graphically enhanced and not all PS3s are backwards-compatible.

Ummm Yeah... Im actually pumped about this one cause after kickin for a good 6 years and prob thousands of hours of playtime my PS2 finally bit the dust and now Im getting two of my fav games on PS2 on PS3 with minor upgrades and trophy support. Im cool with it. And its only $40 bucks. Not tooooo shabby

@odd69: I was referring to real, physical storage space. One PS3 game box takes up less space in my room than two PS2 boxes (than one PS2 box, even). Nothing to do with hard drives at all. I am using a 320gig hard drive in my PS3, just in case you're still curious, though.

How does a corrupt company that is so corrupted that it is impossible to corrupt it anymore get even more corrupted by a not-so-corrupt company? In other words, I really don't like Sony.
