Opens in fall 2019:
Here is what President Shuntaro Furukawa has said about the store:
"I would also like to make the first announcement here that we are preparing for opening Nintendo TOKYO, the first official Nintendo shop in Japan. We are hoping it will be a new point of contact between consumers and Nintendo that a wide range of people, regardless of age, gender, or experience with games can enjoy. In addition to selling products such as video game systems, software and character-based merchandise, we plan to host events and offer opportunities to play games, and are preparing to make this shop a new base for communicating Nintendo information in Japan."

Well the Nintendo Store in New York originally started out as the only Pokemon Center store outside Japan.
(making it quite inaccessable to a large portion of the country. Yes it might be the country's largest city but that's still a low percentage of both the total population and even smaller geographical proportion. )

I am surprised it took Nintendo so long to have this happen. Firstly, because it's Japan so it really should have been the first place to launch a store. But secondly once the New York store was rebranded Nintendo NY I kinda assumed they would start opening them up in cities across the world. And with that, one in London, UK wouldn't go amiss. But then the retail stores over here are going under day by day, so perhaps not wise.

Eww, the design looks so bland and sterile.

The store is officially opening the 22nd of November with a new website having officially launched that shows off what will be available at the new store plus a bunch of new renders of characters from the Mario, LoZ, Splatoon, and AC franchises.

Interesting how the banner at the bottom has both BOTW and TP Link.
