Have you heard of this? A new Sega console from a Sega Sammy report. Don't know the validity of the report. I have it posted on my blog.
It's old news by the way

I'd just stick with Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft making consoles. Sega learned their lesson back in 2002 when the Dreamcast bombed. However, I'd love to see Apple release a gaming console.

Dreamcast didn't bomb, it sold rather well until PS2 came in with it's lovely DVD player built in, the DC was the first to have online by the way.

The Dreamcast actually paved the way for many advancements beyond online. Sega in general wrote the book for so many games and genres, look at Grandia, not Grandia II or the other 52 spins off Sony payed for on the PS2. Others like Evolution 1 & 2, DragonForce, the Shining series, Skies of Arcadia, the list goes on. There are a ton of games on PC as well that no one mentions that Sega made...Andy100003, if I am wrong on something, keep your mouth shut!

I would buy a new Sega console in a heartbeat! Just for something different. Microsofter sucks in my experienced opinion.
I have faith in Sega.

They already did. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Pippin
And I would love a new SEGA console, even though this is probably fake. Genesis4life.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

If Sega released a console it would fun to bet on how long it would take them to screw it up again. They've proven they have no business being in the console market.
And those saying they have faith in Sega must be high.

nintendo is generally doing it the right way apart form the third party support.
Id love it if sega game back the way that the ps3 and xbox 360 are going.
Trouble is that sega's arcade division is not as active because of the way that the industry is and that was where the best first party games game. Also poor sales of games like nights / ghost squad etc wont have helped.

Fist part was enough for me, a NEW CASUAL SYSTEM........ Sega was a hardcore system, not casual. It will be full of cash in shovelware more than likely. Not buying unless I see games behing it. A a few of them.
........ this has me thinking....... if SEGA jumps a new Casual Console the casual gamers will see it as the new thing and buy it for sure, then with the money they make they could release a actual new console, SEGA has always made great harcore games. This could be good news eventually, BUT it also means that old school hardcore gamers could abandon SEGA for coming out with a casual system....... huh, maybe good, maybe not.

If this is officially confirmed and is indeed a real gaming system, I would skip all plans of getting a Playstation 3 and buy that Sega system if it's actually decent.
