@Terra I would recommend the PC version just because of the online community and the ability to play some of the great mods that are out there. However, make sure your computer can run it first. I would be ugly to see someone buy a game and then not be able to play it (especially Portal).

EDIT: I would also recommend the PC version because of cursor control. I truly HATE playing with dual analog sticks!

I really want to play Portal, but I doubt my computer will run it (it's a five-year-old machine and it wasn't exactly a powerhouse when I first got it). Bah.

I did finish the Transmission Received achievement, and also finally got around to completing the final 2 advanced chambers. I still need more Portal, and since I've finished those 2 fan mods, I guess I'd best look at the other one mentioned here.

I'd love to buy and play this game, as it looks great, but my computer sucks, and I'd rather not pay for a game and then find out that it won't work worth a damn on my computer.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

Can the graphics be cracked down to, say, 'slightly mediocre-looking Gamecube title' running at 640*480? If so, my computer may run it. It'll look terrible, but it'll run. And I'm used to my PC games looking terrible, so that's no biggie.
Can't download the demo because last time I checked, it weighed in at a 6Gb download file, which my download limits won't allow. And it'd take approximately 1 era to finish downloading.
