That developer would be me! me and my partner anyway. Our new website is finally up. It's obviously very primitive as of right now but I would love any suggestions on what to do to make it better! You can find us at http://quarantine-games.com/
I'm glad you're getting started in game developing. What kind of budget games are you two going to be developing exactly? Puzzle games? RPGs? Side-scrolling shooters?
Get your games on Steam and get a blog to review them. (Rock Paper Shotgun? Destructoid?) Just make sure all the bugs you find are squished thoughly, and don't skimp on the testing.

Well our first project is a puzzle game and the second is gonna be more of an action/arcade type of game. Most of our games are going to be more pick up and play, easy to get addicted to types of games so they will likely be mostly in the puzzle and arcade genres. Although we do have a new rhythm game under wraps which is semi-inspired by the Bit Trip games as well as a platformer. The rhythm game will likely be our 3rd or 4th project.
Is there actually any cost to put your games up on XBLA & Steam?
I don't think there is any cost outside of the XNA developement kit. I think they just take a cut out of the profits. I don't know much about that kind of stuff, that's what the partner is for
Nice to see people here that are making games! Hope to y'all big success in the future!
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

Xbox LIVE only takes a cut from the game price for each game sold, they distribute demos at no cost to the developer as far as I know.
I've got personally a couple of projects on hold for Xbox LIVE Arcade Indie Games... I have 2 free student subscriptions to the creators club, and I hope to have something to show by next year lol

Wow, that is great news bboy2970! Congratulations man! I'll be keeping an eye on your website and I'm really looking forward to playing some of your games.
Hey everybody, I am the other founder of Quarantine Games. Thank you for the warm reception, we hope you will visit often! I hope to have a playable demo of Pixel Mix up in a few days and then release it on the Xbox and PC in a few weeks. Thanks again, I hope you enjoy our games!!
Hey guys. I need your help in deciding something. I gave the site a new paintjob last night and my partner is PISSED and thinks it looks terrible. I disagree. So to anyone who saw the site before this update, I wanna know your honest opinion as to which layout was better. Thanks!
Unfortunately, We're starting with Xbox and then plan on spreading to iPhone. sometime after that is when we will hopefully start developing for PSN, WiiWare, and DSiWare.
@bboy: it looked more professional before, as i recall. i don't remember that repeating image in the background :/
