I'm going to get one

Just a quick update on this there appear to be models of this console selling. The Base unit with just the handheld NOT the joystick or AES look-a-like hookup for the handheld to the TV at the retail price of $130. Then of course the $200 dollar one with all those extras. I know will definitely be getting the cheaper version as I would really just prefer the handheld the AES TV hook-up thing looks awesome, but I doubt I would probably would never use it.

As much as I love the games I have a ton on the VC and I think I will just stick with that. You can always buy an Arcade Stick. Who here is getting it btw? Still interested on impressions.

they should deffinitly have a way to buy more games for this. and let 3rd party devs make games for it too.

The main thing I am looking at is the portability factor. Yeah I can get some of those games on the VC but I cant take my Wii and TV with me. I might get the docking station and the controller but I doubt I will use them.

Finally made up my mind and getting this instead of a Vita (in my opinion,.even for $200, Vita still is not worth the price). I preordered the Neo Geo X Gold bundle at my local GameStop, it's a $50 minimum down payment and has a ship date of 12/6/12. I might have to go back and cancel my in store order and order it online through GameStop.com though because I just saw that if you preorder it online, you also get Ninja Masters for free!

So, judging by the art above, it looks like SNK Playmore could be supporting the system with more releases in the future.

@sykotek: Let's hope that that's not some special one time only deal. I would love to see some more games for this thing even if they put like a whole bunch on one SD card something like the Capcom Greatest Hits Collection game discs.

@Tasuki: Of course, it could be a one off, but who really knows? The shape of the hole on the image above the title makes it look like they're planning packages to be hung on hooks. I could see places using those magnetic lock security things to secure these types of packs. I dunno, I'm probably reading too much into it, but I'm thinking maybe that'll mean more games will be available. I don't see why places that are allowing preorders on this wouldn't consider carrying the games as they get released or at least they might be sold through the official website? Either way, if so, hopefully they're reasonably priced. Anyways, I'm excited.

Sonic Pocket Adventure! I LOVE that game! Have it on my Neo Geo Pocket Color.

I just saw the Gamespot hands on video for this and while it didn't show of the the handheld much, it explained how the AES replica would work and I am getting close to making my final decision on whether or not to buy it. I So far I think this looks great I just hope SNK supports this thing with more Game Cards like Ninja Masters.

Yep it's been released. I checked Walmart's website and it had it available to buy.
